It’s easy to get lost in garments that shadows my identity. Some say there’s no room for Africa in the mainstream fashion industry so I try to assimilate, stripping away my roots...why don’t I try to incorporate? The duality between Western and Afrocentric fashion can create a harmonious blend.
So as I crown myself with my COWRIE I get reminded of who I am & where I come from.
I am the statement piece, with every step I take I prosper in my femininity. The negativity around me is dimmed as my energy is protected by the bright beads draped around me that makes my uniqueness shine through which even reaches you.

Shown at Lagos Fashion Week 2025, the work unfolded like a ritual constructed, deliberate, and visually commanding.
