One of the hardest hikes I’ve ever done. 14.5km in 5 1/2hrs with 1350m elevation gain. Definitely underestimated how difficult it was going to be but still had fun. My legs started cramping with 3km to go but I couldn’t give up. Ran into a bear who was friendly.

Prepping for Machu Pichu next month. Attempted the Grouse Grind in North Vancouver for the first time. You know it’s going to be tough when you see an AED after the first 100m 🤣. Just over 2km and 800m elevation gain with 2830 steps. Managed to complete it in 59:50min. Not sure if that’s good or not but I was proud of myself.

Spent the last 5 days completing my CMBGA LEVEL 2- ASSISTANT GUIDE exams up at Mustang Powders lodge. Passed with flying colors!
Thanks to all the instructors and everyone involved. Will not forget the experience.

Well this old guy still has it…kinda lol. Had a blast at the 2026 Riley Suhan Race in Golden today.
There was an initial race (Full Loop) with 136 racers. Out of that race they take the top 30 times to the Pro Race final. The Pro race added a technical hill climb and bigger double jump. They also record the hill climb portion of both races.

My results
Full Course: 13th out of 136
Full Course Hill Climb: 9th out of 136
Pro Race: 14th out of 30
Pro Race Hill Climb: 10th out of 30

Overall extremely happy. There was a lot of young bucks with highly modified race sleds and turbos. Not saying that’s why I didn’t do any better but probably didn’t help lol. Thanks Courtenay Motorsports for the support with my 2026 Ski-Doo Summit X 154” N/A. Thanks Joel Cates for the videos. Awesome to be able to race with you again. I think it has been 22 years since our last snowcross race 🤣 by @newmanater90
