These windows just got a serious upgrade. 🪟🪟🪟

We brought them together into one glass garage door that will open right onto the deck at Newport Basecamp Hostel!

Picture the door rolled up, food on the barbecue, salty air coming through, and new friends trading stories after a day exploring the coast. That’s what we’re building this space for.

Huge thanks to our friends at Pelican Garage Doors for helping make it happen. 🤝

@ports_contractingllc is #digging up the road so the fire suppression system can flood the hostel!

Hopefully we never have to use it and can instead just enjoy the good water pressure in the showers.

From lines on a blueprint to walls going up, the women’s dorm at Newport Basecamp Hostel is taking shape.

Soon, this room will be a safe, comfortable place for women traveling the Oregon Coast to rest, recharge and plan their next adventure. Today, it’s lumber and blueprints. Before long, it’ll be part of someone’s unforgettable trip to Newport.

It’s starting to feel real.

The lines on the floor are becoming rooms. In this 360°, you can see the first framing for a bathroom, a closet, a private room, two dorms, and a group room.

There’s still plenty of work ahead, but getting to walk through the layout instead of just looking at it on paper is a pretty incredible feeling. One step closer to welcoming you to Newport Basecamp Hostel.

Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area is an official, special federal designation to protect rare natural, scenic, and scientific values.
"Outstanding Natural Area" is a formal conservation classification that Congress explicitly designated to the 100-acre site at Yaquina Head in 1980. It is part of the federal National Conservation Lands system, which protects nationally significant landscapes.
There's only 3 sites across the entire United States that hold this specific ONA title.
This is literally across the street.
