“What is that painting of? It’s a secret. But the secret is on the surface. The mysteries of painting all lie on the top layer. The work of each painter in Top Secret engages vulnerable tactility, enigmatic geometries, and a taut polarity between deep space and the physical surface. The paintings present themselves both as open books and locked diaries: places one can tell secrets in plain sight, but whose messages may never neatly resolve.”
- Rosie Lopeman
