We enjoy a good party and last night was special. Thank you @last_of_the_english_gentlemen for providing the bar with the perfect inaugural gig. Come back and see us soon x

Thanks also to all the wonderful music fans. When we opened the bar, last night was exactly what we had in mind.

It was a treat to find a few delicious left overs, carefully corked up and refrigerated to avoid oxidation. I am so happy to be sitting here contemplating two solar vintages of Pommard from Domaine du Cerberon, several bottles of which were opened and enjoyed last night, with a little leftover cheese from the incomparable @cheeseatwadebridge

2022 for the win today but 2018 was on fire last night. If you are in Wadebridge pop in for a glass.

Our inaugural gig at New Wave had to be our great friend Chris @last_of_the_english_gentlemen — enigmatic, engaging, soulful, lyrical and a late-night kind of guy that we love very much.

With poetic lyrics, theatrical delivery, and a charmingly unguarded stage presence, Last of the English Gentlemen’s performances are simultaneously cerebral, moving, and unforgettable. He conjures a swirling storm of shanties, tangos, and waltzes that strike straight to the soul.

Open from 5.30pm, music from 7pm, open late.

Cocktail special in Chris’s honour will be a Palmetto (rum Manhattan) + our usual negronis, wine, beer and non-alcs. taken in Wadebridge by @newwavewinebar
