Stay Ready vol 2 March.29th 2026 The LAB by One Big Jam 1335 Macleod Trl SE, Calgary, AB T2G 1E1 FREE ENTRY 3v3 Breaking - 300$ prize Doors open 5:30pm Judge TKO - Grim Reminder TKO of Grim Reminder brings a musical and foundational flow to the Calgary breaking scene. Known for creative flows to compliment his footwork foundation and fresh top rocks, he’s always with the music and a beast in the cyphers. It feels like he knows every track. Grim Reminder has been dancing since 2008, repping their own unique styles. Always rocking cyphers and exploring movement in the lab, the crew emphasizes the breaking scene, the people in it, and moments shared between the community above all else. Hosts of Bring Your Own Beef, a BBQ jam at the end of summer, Grim Reminder is always a crew to bring the heat and the vibes. Members include: Catfish The Wizard, TKO, Irock, Madcap, Grimrock, Lost Prince, Spillah, Mile High, Johnny Rockit DJ Dex one (Funky Monks) “Born and raised in Calgary, Dex got his start in the dance culture in 1997, learning the fundamentals of breakdancing and immersing himself in the movement and musicality that defines the culture. As a member of the Funky Monks crew, he sharpened his skills alongside a tight-knit collective that shared a deep respect for the art form. That foundation in breaking — the rhythm, the timing, the innate feel for how music and movement connect — naturally carried over when he stepped behind the decks. In 2007, Dex transitioned into DJing, bringing with him a dancer’s ear and an understanding of the floor that most DJs simply don’t have. For him, the two worlds have always been one.” Showcase Straight to top 8 Brought to you by NOK and Ontologic by @nextofkin16
