“Edge of a confession “ graphite drawing on Sakura paper .

This took me approximately 10 hours to complete , there was lot of sitting back and deliberation mostly !!
This paper is perfect for atmospheric drawings but Sakura is quite unforgiving! It’s very similar to moleskine .

A 1.5hr study in graphite .

I’m busy with commissions this week but very morning I like to break away from the monotony with gestural studies that challenge me .

Materials used :
5B mechanical pencil
Sakura paper ( soloist to moleskine )
Graphite powder ( Cretacolor)

This drawing took me a couple of days to create - I wasn’t sure how to resolve it , being a slightly larger piece .
The suggestion of trees to anchor the artwork , felt right .

The Opening night at the Mall Galleries, London was everything I’d hoped for.
Such an electric atmosphere, and a real honour to exhibit alongside incredible artists from around the world.

And seeing the red dot before the exhibition had even opened made it all the more special.🫶
