Knowing your breasts and recognising changes such as a new lump, changes in breast shape, skin dimpling or nipple changes can help you seek medical attention early. While not every change means cancer, it is important to get any unusual changes checked by a healthcare professional. Early detection and timely treatment matter. For women who have undergone breast surgery/ mastectomy, access to suitable bras, breast prostheses and emotional support can make a meaningful difference to their comfort, confidence and dignity. As someone living with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, I understand how important awareness, support and equitable access to care are. One of the most empowering moments of yesterday's event was conducting a practical breast self-examination demonstration with five beautiful volunteers. Together, we highlighted the importance of knowing our bodies, recognising changes and taking responsibility for our breast health.
