There is exactly one month until my first single with @weinthecloud drops on all platforms. This is a big one for me. This collaboration has been years in the making. We first met right when @weinthecloud dropped his debut album West Coast Mississippi. To say that project inspired me would be an understatement. But none the less all these years later the collaboration comes full circle. In the meantime check out the remix I did for one of their earlier releases. My 2013 Beat Tape is now available everywhere that you stream music. It’s all about paying homage to our past. The project is titled The Bum Genius Tape as throw back to the name and moniker that I used to go by when I was in high school.

First Fridays at the Alan Blueford Center.

To those who have been here they know; This is a very special place. A place that I’ve called home for over 10 years. A place that fosters love, collaboration, healing and connection.

It was 14 years ago to this day that Alan was taken away from us. And all though the horrors of police brutality still persist so does the light, joy and impact that Alan has brought to so many! We persist we shine we manifest!

In my time selecting sounds and DJing here at the Alan Blueford Center I’ve been blessed to share the stage with so many talented artists poets and MC’s. Blessed to share space with so many of the vibrant curious and inquisitive community members who have stop by to take in the vibes with us. Blessed to feel the lasting impact that Alan has had on our lives!

Some nights are packed some nights are intimate, but one fact that remains is within these walls everyone feels a sense of belonging and shared space.

Every First Friday of the month at 8pm I’ll be here (2434 Telegraph Oakland) selecting sounds, curating vibes, playing keys with my crew @smoakcollective

A massive shout out and thank you to @missmollie33 for opening this space to the community. And thank you everyone who has helped us put on shows here in the past!

Long Live Alan Blueford! Rest in power! taken in The Alan Blueford Center For Justice by @nfb.kofi
