When @aaronrodgers12 finally retires, the NFL will lose another iconic figure from the golden era of quarterbacks that defined the 2000s and 2010s. Fans have already watched legends like Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, and Eli Manning walk away from the game, and Rodgers represents one of the final remaining stars from that generation. Love him or hate him, his presence has always commanded attention. From his arm talent and creativity to the headlines and personality, Rodgers has been one of the league’s most talked-about and marketable players for nearly two decades.

Few quarterbacks in NFL history have blended elite production, unforgettable moments, and larger-than-life celebrity the way Rodgers has. He sells out stadiums, dominates television ratings, and turns every game into an event. Whether fans cheer for him or root against him, they tune in — and that’s what true icons do. Long after his career ends, Aaron Rodgers will remain one of the defining faces of an unforgettable era of football.

The rivalry between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning is one of the greatest in NFL history—defined by contrasting styles and constant high-stakes matchups.

Brady, the clutch winner with New England Patriots, and Manning, the cerebral field general with the Indianapolis Colts and later Denver Broncos, faced off 17 times. Brady led the overall series 11–6, but Manning had the edge when it mattered most in the playoffs, going 3–2 against Brady.

Their battles often decided AFC supremacy, including multiple AFC Championship Games. Brady dominated early in the 2000s, but Manning adjusted and found more success later in his career—especially during his Broncos run.

In the end, Brady finished with more Super Bowl wins, but Manning is widely respected for his ability to read defenses and elevate offenses. Together, they defined an era of quarterback greatness and pushed each other to historic levels.

Rueben Bain Jr.—ACC Defensive Player of the Year, relentless pass rusher, and built for Sundays. Last night the Buccaneers drafted the DAWG MENTALITY they’re lacking on defense with the 15th overall pick. 😈🎰

- That Warren Sapp energy! Someone who also ironically fell to the Bucs in the draft from Miami U decades ago!🌪️

- Bain was projected by most to go in the top 10 of this years draft. But he should have a good career in Tampa Bay! 🏴‍☠️

Nick Chubb is officially calling it a career. 🐕💔

It’s crazy to think about what his career could’ve looked like without the injuries. Chubb was already one of the best pure runners in football when a major knee injury in 2023 derailed his prime. That same knee had given him trouble dating back to his college days, and after finally getting back on the field, he was never quite the same.

Still, what he accomplished was special.

8 seasons | 100 games | 7,349 rushing yards | 54 rushing TDs | 5.0 YPC | 4× Pro Bowl | 2022 2nd-Team All-Pro

He had four straight 1,000-yard seasons and ran for a career-high 1,525 yards in 2022. He finishes as one of only a handful of backs ever to eclipse 1,000 carries while averaging at least 5.0 yards per carry. (NFL)

Aaron Rodgers shared a story about a professor at Cal who accused him of plagiarism after he submitted a paper. While other students were allowed to revise theirs, Rodgers says he wasn’t. When he met with her, she allegedly told him he’d never make it, would get hurt, and would amount to nothing. Rodgers responded with two words: “Watch me.” The dispute eventually led to a Judicial Affairs hearing, but he says the experience became one of the biggest motivations of his career. Sometimes the people who doubt you the most end up fueling your success.

Peyton Hillis was acquired by the Cleveland Browns in 2011 via trade with the Denver broncos , that included Quarterback Brady Quinn. (Traded away) He is widely considered a one year wonder simply because he went off a multitude of games , showcasing an old school, Mike Allstot type style of running. He did so well he ended up being granted the madden cover of Madden 2012. He eventually was acquired by the New York Giants for a year and completely fell off the face of the Earth as he could not keep up with what he had showcase in Cleveland.

- Hillis finished his NFL career with .. 2,832 rushing yards & just 26 touchdowns.

Before trick plays became common, Odell Beckham Jr. was one of the NFL’s favorite gadget weapons. Defenses would key in on his elite route running and highlight-reel catches, only for OBJ to suddenly pull up and launch a touchdown pass. Whether it was a reverse, a double pass, or a designed trick play, he had a knack for catching defenses completely off guard and turning one play into a game-changing moment.
