We have exciting news to share: Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) and BUILD intend to merge!

BUILD will become the first organization in NFTE’s family of brands - a new model for nonprofit scale that preserves what makes each organization unique while unlocking greater reach and collective impact.

After 67 combined years proving that entrepreneurship education works, we are uniting to drive systemic change in education and help more young people, particularly those in under-resourced communities, thrive in a world rapidly reshaped by AI.

Together, we will serve more than 350,000 students annually bringing together NFTE’s global reach, educator training, and research capabilities with BUILD’s relationship-centered, experiential learning model.

As industries and careers continue to evolve, the entrepreneurial mindset - creativity, collaboration, adaptability, problem-solving, and opportunity recognition - is no longer optional. These are the uniquely human skills that ensure young people are prepared for the new economy and that technology can’t replace.

Join us TOMORROW for the launch of our 16th season of World Series of Innovation! Whether this is your 1st or 16th entry, we wanted to start this year off with a refresher on what WSI is and how you can get started.

Between 9/9/26 and 12/13/26, NFTE will be accepting submissions of innovative solutions for some of the world’s most pressing questions, based on the Sustainable Development Goals created by the United Nations. Global youth between 5-24 will get a chance to submit to several different challenges via our submission form, with those between ages 5-12 submitting to our Imagination League and ages 13-24 participating in the Impact League! Following the submission closure of 12/13, judging begins, with Impact League finalists being asked to create a short pitch video for final consideration. Then our winners and their prizes will be announced for Imagination League in February and Impact League in April!

🎉 Meet Team NFTE!

This November, Lincoln Cohoon, Alex Wellisch, and Carl Comstock will represent NFTE at the TCS New York City Marathon, taking on 26.2 miles while raising funds to help empower the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Every mile they run and every dollar they raise helps expand access to entrepreneurship education and opportunities for young people to build the skills and confidence they need for the future. We’re incredibly grateful for their commitment and can’t wait to cheer them on every step of the way.

🧑‍💻📈💡 What happens when students peek behind the curtain of a tech company? 👀

Earlier this month, our Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) students from Edgefield Secondary School got exactly that chance, thanks to a NFTE Business Visit hosted by Bitdeer!

Students had the opportunity to experience:
📚 A “Human Library” session where Bitdeer employees shared their career journeys and what it’s really like working in tech
🤖A hands-on workshop on AI prompting, picking up practical tips to use AI more effectively
💼 A tour of the Bitdeer office to round things off

Experiences like these matter as they give youths direct exposure to industries and the people working in them, helping to broaden their horizons and prepare them for the paths ahead. A huge thank you to Bitdeer who opened up their workplace and shared their stories with our students. Partnerships like these open doors our youths might not otherwise have. 💛

This summer, our Program Director for NFTE West, Emma Hunt, was invited to exhibit to at the 2026 North Dakota Career and Technical Education Professional Development Conference!

North Dakota Department of Career and Technical Education held its annual conference at Bismarck Convention Center in Bismarck, North Dakota. As an exhibitor, Emma got a chance to share NFTE's mission and vision to North Dakota's entire network of CTE educators!

This was a great opportunity to expand our professional development support in the region, and we look forward to continuing to increase our strength in the West! by @nfte

Young people are shaping the future of work and we're making sure their voices are part of the conversation!

BUILD recently joined JobsFirst's Youth Convening Day: Adapting to the Future of Work — Movement by Design at NYU’s Kimmel Center, bringing together 200+ young people from across all five boroughs for a day of entrepreneurship, AI, career exploration, and innovation.

Our own Mid-Atlantic Program Director Kenya George kicked off the day with an energizing warm-up, while our amazing program manager, Justin Lokossou, helped students prepare to pitch their ideas at the My City, My Community Social Impact Pitch Competition, where teams competed for $5,000 in prizes. We’re proud to create spaces where young people can learn, lead, and bring their ideas to life!

New school partnership alert: We're thrilled to welcome Passport Academy Charter School (PACS) to the BUILD family in Pittsburgh!
PACS serves students ages 16-21, giving young people who haven't found their footing in traditional school settings a path to explore careers and build workforce-ready skills.
BUILD + PACS share a core belief: real-world learning and career prep set students up for success no matter what path they choose.
