Ok so maybe all of those are a bit ridiculous, well I guess the last two aren’t, but I think it’d be really funny if someone brought a sink 😂 #❌🎒❌ by @nhstudentsfw

How to read the Bible using the REAP method!

Read - Simple, just read the text
• Notice repeated words, phrases, or ideas.
• Identify the characters, setting, and flow of thought.
• Read in more than one translation if helpful.

Examine - think deeper about the who, what, when, where and why.
• What is repeated, emphasized, or contrasted?
• What did this mean to the original audience?
• What does it reveal about God’s character?
• How does the passage point to Jesus?

Apply - connect the passage to your life
• What truth do I need to believe?
• What sin do I need to repent of?
• What command do I need to obey?
• Be honest, with God and yourself.

Pray: you can use another acronym for this one!
• Praise — thank God for what you saw in the passage.
• Repent — confess sin or misbelief revealed by the text.
• Ask — request help to obey or trust.
• Yield — commit to walk in what God has shown you. by @nhstudentsfw
