The race was on, which would arrive first, the Special Edition from the UK or the ones from Talkshop in Illinois. It was a tie. Of course the Kindle copy beat them all. 😎 Undecided about opening the Special Edition.
As soon as I'm done reading "Hell House" I'll dive right in.

When I moved to this town almost 30 years ago, I didn't realize it was the home to one of most notorious bands in Rock - The Shaggs.

Last Saturday I was lucky to see the NH premier of a wicked awesome documentary "We Are The Shaggs". The story behind the family that recorded what many regarded as "the worse album ever" but loved by Zappa & Cobain. They even have a tribute band and theater show.

It's an amazing journey, so well done by acclaimed director Ken Kwapis (Google him). I knew of them before I moved here, but discovering their history in my town 🤯 and I never thought I'd get to meet a member but it was lovely to meet Dot Wiggin (guitarist and song writer) and have her sign my album. Her older sister Helen (the drummer) passed away previously and is buried with the family in town.

I hope you get the chance at some point to see it when fully released, it's quite a story and part of rock history. 🤘😎🎸

This week on Tommy Tuesday...

Back in September of 2020 I added this wicked cool Tommy pick drawn by the awesome Mel!
She let ne know that there were actually two versions of it, yesterday I finally got that variant. Twice the Tommy, twice the Mel Artwork. 🤘❤️💚🤘

Friday night at the Tupelo Music Hall we got to enjoy a night of tasty guitar licks for a great cause, The Guitar Monsters presented by Rockin' 4 Vets.

Comprised of Johnny A, Jon Butcher and joined by Dave Amato it was a rockin night of covers featuring some awesome guitarists (and local legends) backed by Tim Archibald, Brian Maes & AJ Vallee.
Got a chance to meet them backstage and talk guitars, Dave showed me a photo of his collection 🤯🎸 so many beautiful guitars it must have been an airport hanger to fit them all in the photo.
Jon - get a Casino brother. 😎

It was great to see Ryan Roxie Saturday night, and the Roxie Rockford Revenge in all it's glory on night two. It's been a few years since I last got to talk with him, thanx so much for the passes.
Hoping for the next chapter of "System 12" - maybe the mystery of the capo. 🤘🖤🎸

If you really want to know what goes on at the after parties...manicures. That's what. No pedicures though, there's a line drawn there. 😆

I was very excited to be able to see the incredible Anna Cara play with The Coop Saturday night.
I think Tommy said, "She was born to be up there", and he was so right! Anna has that amazing stage presence, she totally owns it when she plays her solos. Her interactions with the band is like she played with them for years. 🤘🖤🎸
I don't usually take photos of the big screen projector but there she was 100' tall in front of me - so groovy.

I was also interested to find out that beautiful Wine Red Lester she's playing in a 2014 Custom on loan from Dash Cooper. I have a newer one and love it to death, Anna said I was very organized when I looked for a photo to show her of mine 😊. So happy to get to meet her in the flesh and see her play live finally. Only 22 and what a resume already, and so talented - I had found her YouTube videos of covers a few years ago (which you check out) and can't wait to see where she goes from here. Man, I wish I'd shot some videos but was too blown away. 🤩

Happiest of birthdays to The Platinum God himself - Neal Smith! 🥁🎂
Very few songs start with a recognizable epic drum riff, but Neal rocks and everyone knows it.
It was so amazing to see you play in Phoenix last year, and meeting you was a dream come true for my 13 inner rocker. Thanks a billion Neal! 🤘🖤

It's been a while since I participated in Tommy Tuesday so...

I got to see Tommy at the HV premiere Friday in Boston, then went to the Big E in Springfield to see Alice perform (probably one of the best shows I've seen him do!). It was great to be able to hang a bit with him after the show, and my wife enjoyed taking photos.
Love the recognition he got in Boston 🦇🖤🦇 and now Friday comes the next single from Crossbone Skully., 'Riding with Angels'.
Gonna be a wicked pissah one. 🤘
