Big love to @the119.studio and @wagamama_uk for getting me on another delightful little one. Wen't for a totally different vibe and didn't move the camera this time. Been working on a new documentary series for the @guardian with @willwarr @helenlthomas @dougcock_ & @detailfilms. Hosted by nicest guy anyone has ever met @jimfamished The first episode is on Third Culture bakeries. Shot on my canon 5d mark ii and FD’s. So much love to the team for being the best people to munch our way across the country with. Could not have asked for nicer tiny but mighty team to do this with. One of the first ‘proper’ projects I directed and shot was a live DVD for @toe_music_official in 2012. They were kind enough to trust a 24 year old and his friends to handle the filming and editing of a 60 minute DVD with a physical release. We had no idea what we were doing but they somehow believed in us so we somehow thought we could do it. I feel like my ‘career’ can be traced back to this project and it sort of started the snowball effect that let me make a living with a camera. Which I still think is wild. @yamayamawo was kind enough to let me come down and take some photos at their second ever London show 14 years later. Felt like stepping into a time machine. So many faces from some of the best years of my life thus far. Mega thanks to Haruna who I think initially put me on the bands radar. @satoshiyamane @takaakimino @takashi.kashikura_jp #canonphotography #canon5dmarkⅱ #canonfd #canonfd35mmf2 #canonfd85mm by @niallcoffey
