We are now in post-production!

Huge love to our incredible lighting and camera teams for everything they brought to this film. Led by the incredible @niamccatty, we got to work with some amazing equipment, from Steadicam through @offshoot_ to motion control, and the results are looking pretty special.

Big thanks to everyone who helped shape every frame. Couldn’t have done it without you. 🪮

@rhoden.mp3 from the archive

These snaps go back to January 2025, from a fun day of shooting some press shots for rhoden. in St Kilda 📸

I remember it was hot out, but it meant we had the beautiful blue sky we were after for the aesthetic of the shoot: bright, saturated, and perfectly reminiscent of summer ☀️ by @niamccatty

Here are some photos from “The Fairies of Trajectoire”, a series of images turned short film that details the fleeting nature of our presence in the world.

Constantly in motion, we continue to adapt, change and evolve, just as the @trajectoireexhibition showcases the ever-evolving talent of artists in Naarm.

The short film is composed of a series of photographs that when put together, create a stop-motion animation.

The creation of a dreamy atmosphere via the long exposure images invites the viewer into a world of reflection, as they are prompted to think about how their presence can leave an impact on those around them and the world they inhabit.

🧚🏽‍♀️✨🧚🏼🌟🧚🏻‍♂️

Come and see “The Fairies of Trajectoire” at the exhibition’s closing event tomorrow night at The Old Bar, from 7:30pm, as well as some other incredible short films and artwork 🎥🎨.

I had the delight of snapping some headshots/promo pictures for the wonderful artists exhibiting in the @trajectoireexhibition.⁣
⁣
Trajectoire, running for its second year, celebrates the interconnecting web of identities and passions of its exhibiting artists. The exhibition’s title, meaning Trajectory in French, is about manifesting the development of creative relationships through the joint exhibition 💗💫.⁣
⁣
Trajectoire’s closing event is on Sunday May 12th, 7:30pm at The Old Bar Gallery (@theoldbar). Since it’s Mother’s Day, why not bring your mums along to view some beautiful Art before the exhibition concludes 🫂.⁣
⁣
Want to see the exhibition before then? It’s available for viewing tomorrow from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.⁣

This wonderful creative is the face behind all of our group promotional photos: Nia McCatty (she/her) is a photographer and emerging cinematographer from the East of Naarm/Melbourne. Her interest in the Arts stems from its power to connect people from all walks of life. Her introduction to photography arose from the purchase of her first DSLR camera in 2017. At first being drawn to sunsets and landscape imagery, her focus shifted to portraiture, due to her love of capturing people’s stories and the individuality that makes them beautiful. Studying the Bachelor of Film & Television at Swinburne since 2023, Nia is passionate about pursuing a career path as a cinematographer and creating/working on films that tell unique stories about the human experience.

🫧🫧 It will be lovely to see you materialise at the @theoldbargallery come any time throughout the night, art 6:30pm -10pm, bands from 8:30pm+, supporting @art.of.courage.ukraine 🇺🇦 by @niamccatty

“She was waiting, but she didn’t know for what. She was aware only of her solitude, and of the penetrating cold, and of a greater weight in the region of her heart.” - Albert Camus ⁣

I love these pics. They make me feel like I’m frolicking in a field. But, there’s also a heaviness to them - like they’re a dream reminiscent of what once was. 💚🌾☀️⁣

“Completely, and perfectly, and incandescently, happy.”
⁣
These photos are from a shoot that took place last year (2022). During the editing process, I took inspo from the “Pride and Prejudice” film (Joe Wright, 2005), adding some warmth and a hazy effect to give the photos that cinematic, dreamlike quality. ⁣
⁣
Thank you to the awesome crew who put this project together ❤️📸⁣

I had the pleasure of snapping these shots of the dynamic duo @nightlightzmusic a few weeks back at the @youtheventswhitehorse Battle of the Bands event.⁣
⁣
Laura and Hayley are so incredible on stage - if you get the chance to see them live, seize it!⁣
⁣
My personal fav songs of theirs are “Angel” and “Breathing”🔥. ⁣
