What a momentous occasion ☘️FINALLY the Irish women’s rugby team get their moment at the @avivastadium! A brilliant atmosphere from start to finish with over 31,000 people showing up to support the team! A showcase of what’s possible and a platform to build upon. I’m proud to have been to the first ever Irish women’s soccer and rugby standalone fixtures in the Aviva - the “first time” will only ever happen once. I always think of the future and having conversations where we look back at landmark moments like this and being able to say - “Yes I was there!” To anyone that joined today - you’re part of history, be proud of that and keep showing up for the girls in green. Trying to find the notes in my head 🎶I got my piano back two days ago and have sat down a few times to see what’s in there after years of not playing 🫠 I’ve none of my sheet music - which honestly with the music I could play well, I find sometimes confuses me more 😅 Yesterday I could barely play the start of the piece… and today, I’ve somehow found more of the right notes..which you can literally see me looking for as I play.It’s a little bit wild the (muscle) memory and what can be found again! And no I’m not lugging around a piano piano, house to house…she’s electric😅😂 by @niamh_tallon

Perks of the job 🤩 At the core, I’m a sports fan - and building Her Sport has given me the opportunity to turn that into something more.I’ve gone to some incredible sporting events and met some incredible people. This week, I travelled to London to join @sportindustry and @telegraphwomenssport to celebrate “25 Years of Women’s Sport” - refelecting on defining moments of that period!I have always loved following athletics and grew up watching one of the stars of a generation - @jessicaennishill!! So why did I make the trip to London this week? Honestly…to be in the same room as Jess, to hear her speak and share her story - and hopefully to meet her!An event that reaffirms the why of Her Sport, how far we (society) has come over the past 25 years and still, how far we still need to go!@hersport.ie | @hersportuk by @niamh_tallon

I almost didn't sign up...but alongside @xociaraocxo we decided, we'll do it for the girls!!Delighted to be taking part in this years @vhiwmm Mini Marathon and fundraising for the @hersport.ie Foundation! I'm excited to be part of the 50+ team of women who are running for the Foundation because they believe in making a change!!I'm personally aiming to raise €750, with the team goal at €40,000!!! What we've seen that works is every contribution - no matter how small - adds up and helps us get there. 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟱% 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻.That statistic framed a really interesting conversation on International Women’s Day when @niamh_tallon and @momo_mahomed spoke to the @savills.ireland team. Like sport, real estate remains a heavily male-dominated industry. Savills recognised the parallels with women’s sport and invited us in to share the Her Sport journey, the challenges we’ve encountered and some of the practical lessons that can translate across industries.There’s really interesting insight from Savills’ Invisible Woman research that highlights how design decisions shape experience. 91% of women feel unsafe at train stations and 90% feel unsafe in parks.A factor? 84% of property developers and 76% of urban planners are male.Those same themes come up in sport. Facilities, access, visibility and investment all shape who feels they belong and who stays involved.It led to a really open session. Niamh and Mohammed spoke honestly about the journey so far, the overlap between sport and business, and the role everyone plays in driving progress.Great to see such a strong turnout, thoughtful questions and genuine curiosity from the Savills team.If you’d like the Her Sport team to speak with your organisation, get in touch via education@hersport.ie by @niamh_tallon
