Two posts in one day?! Oh Lordy.

Anyway, over the weekend I reached 300 followers. Which may not seem a lot, but if you think about 300 people in a room looking at you - that is wild and I’d freak out and run.

So here’s a lil intro into me, let me know something about you in the comments 👋🏻 by @niamhdiys

Saved the bookshelf from the tip - just had to say yes when it was offered to me because look at it ?! It’s a thing of beauty.

Also the perfect place to store kids books and little nick nacks, and of course change up the decor each season 🤣

AND - if it floods, we’ll be sorted 🤣🛶 by @niamhdiys

This feels like a diary entry but it’s the reason why I started this page. It’s been a heck of a 7 months. But it’s worked out, despite the not great parts. As we head towards a new year (it’s flying by!) just remember that nothing is permanent and if you feel something needs to change in your life - no matter how big or small, you have the ability to make those changes. Nothing is impossible.

So it may mainly be DIY but I’ll also be sharing some motivation that we all need to hear sometimes, and life as I get used to this big adjustment - even if it was a good decision to make. by @niamhdiys

It’s been two months since we moved into our new home; lots of projects (a mix of finished, unfinished and just started) and lots more ideas!

And last week reached 1000 followers - which seems crazy since it was only last month I couldn’t believe 300 of you were following my journey!

Thanks for being here! Here’s to more transformations and murals and ideas coming to life 😅👩🏻‍🎨✨ by @niamhdiys

New project incoming ✨

It’s no secret I have multiple projects on the go at once, but I am so excited for this one.

It’s so hard to find the perfect blue that doesn’t look the wrong colour or feel too cold. @frenchicpaint ducky is absolutely stunning and I can’t wait to show you what I’m doing with it 👩🏻‍🎨

Yesterday was ‘one of them days’ so I knew I needed a reset. Sometimes all you need is an (overpriced) coffee, comfy boots, a big coat, some fresh air and a little sketch on the way up.

The changing of the seasons can change your mood, especially with the shorter, darker days. Get out into the fresh air and experience the beauty of the changing seasons instead 🍂 taken in Orrest Head, Windermere by @niamhdiys

Half an hour spare and tester pots, and my plain wall was screaming for a little Halloween scene 🤣 here’s your sign to use your free will…

It’s not perfect but it’s filled a boring space until I finally get around to adding some colour to this kitchen, and it’s only paint 🎃👻

The progress so far 😅

Before we moved, I asked the girls if they wanted murals - of course they did! But my eldest had the most complicated idea…

The view of the Eiffel Tower from of a window, at sunset 🌅😅 now the end is finally nigh. Just a few finishing touches to do but it’s looking a lot more like I’ll make it when at some points I thought how in the heck am I going to do this (especially when it resembled a scene from mr beans holiday😅)

I think I’ve got the mural bug and can’t wait to get started on the other two! by @niamhdiys

Had to do a quick recap on September of some wholesome moments. It’s absolutely flown and I do love cosy months but will miss the longer evenings to fit in those beach walks and sunsets, and less torrential, typical uk rain.

Here are some of my fav moments (especially the last slide). But don’t think it’s all sunshine and rainbows 🤣 trying to appreciate the little things even on the hardest days is easier said than done but I am so grateful for this little life and my girls 🥰

I’m in my ✨colour✨ era

I’ve done the greys and whites, I’ve done all the neutrals and sage green.

Now I’m here for colour, cosy, whimsy and murals ✨ I’m loving making our new house into a home and making it full of personality 👩🏻‍🎨 by @niamhdiys
