The very beginning of a long adventure! Merging my passions for dance and overall wellness have always been a goal of mine. When I was younger “in time” became a sort of mantra for me, leading me to the name “Juncture” for the company that I dreamed of owning in the future. Here we are years later, with the establishment of “Juncture Dance & Wellness LLC” 🌹 by @niarragc

After two years of being a full-time graduate student, training and performing full-time as a dance artist with DCDC, teaching and choreographing each week, and working as a personal trainer at the YMCA for the past year… I made it to commencement! 🎓

Master of Public Health. 3.9 GPA. 🥹

It was so hard. 😭 I am so thankful. ☀️

There were some highs, but also so many lows—health complications, medical procedures, and moments that stretched me in ways that I never could have expected. But I held strong. And I am proud of myself for making it through.

Not only did I get to walk across the stage in person, but I got to receive my degree from THE Dr. Amoaba Gooden—my mom. The woman who taught me to view the world with gracious eyes and an open heart; whose intelligence taught me to be curious, and whose tenacity taught me to be strong.

And always uplifting me as our number one supporter, my dad. His selflessness taught me to be kind, his determination and perseverance taught me the value of consistency and commitment, and he taught me to never give up—to make excellence a practice and always reach for the highest star.

I have watched my parents touch the lives of so many people, and my hope is to carry even a small piece of the goodness, truth, and light that they have poured into others.
The absolute best part of this journey has been making them proud. ❤️

I’m so grateful for the strength that I was gifted to keep pushing forward, and for ALL of the friends, family, and my partner, who saw me, supported me, and served as reminders along the way. For the ever-present grace that carried me through. 🌹
