23 ✨

This year was special. Looking at myself now and remembering who I was one year ago I can only ask “What happened?”. Because I feel like I changed so much. There is this renewed confidence in me I can’t really explain. And I realise where it comes from. This year God taught me a lot about my identity as His daughter. And there is something so much different of how you view yourself, your mistakes and your decisions when you know you’re loved as a child of God. Then when you make a decision and look to Him it’s not about getting it right or wrong. It’s about being loved either way. And even if I do get it wrong to know that He will lead me back to the right path. Because He loves me and He is faithful.
This year felt like I was constantly celebrating my birthday, because I kept on receiving gift after gift. But my presents were in the form of people. So many new amazing friendships that just feel like home. I am so thankful to God that He gave me all of these new people in my life, and also that He kept some of the old ones. 🤍
I love my life. It’s such an abundant, absolutely full and rich life I sometimes envy myself. And it’s all thanks to Him and Him only. Thank you, God, for one more year full of Your love for me. ❤️❤️❤️ by @niastoitseva

Ukraine 🇺🇦🤍

This week I had the amazing opportunity to visit my friend @anuta.dyka in Lviv and we had a blast! Being my first time in this country, I absolutely fell in love with it! If there is a culture that feels like home, coziness, lights, cute cafes, lots of candles and tea - that’s Ukraine. Lviv is such a beautiful city I think I could totally move here just to explore all of the hidden places it has. Like what do you mean you can enter a coffee shop just to find it’s also a gallery, sells books and souvenirs and has live music in the upper hidden room?! That’s next level for me. The comforting atmosphere made it so easy to slow down and rest…but then all of a sudden a different reality comes to view. You hear an alarm that there might be an attack, you know there is a possible danger…yet you look around and life just continues. Two realities clashing. You visit monuments, yet you notice the parts of them covered so that if a bomb hits, they won’t loose their cultural heritage. You visit a church, you are amazed at the beauty of the architecture and art, yet at one of the corners you see photos. So many photos of people who have died in the war. You visit a beautiful cafe and find out it was made in honour of a guy who died in the war. They found his diary with ideas and made one of them happen and it’s this exact coffee place. But what about the other places, the other ideas he had? What about all of his dreams and potential? They’re lost somewhere in the front lines together with many others. It’s terrifying reality that you can just miss. Because now it feels like ordinary life. Now it feels normal. The attack alert has become normal. Kids stopping classes to hide is normal. The war has become the normal. And I think now it’s even more terrifying than when it started.
Please keep Ukraine in your prayers! And don’t forget - it’s not normal. ❤️🇺🇦 by @niastoitseva

August ☀️

Sometimes you’ll feel uncomfortable being where you are and that’s okay. It means God is inviting you into something new. A new season. A step of faith.
I’ve felt the tension that comes with having to make the decision to take that next step. It’s scary, because God doesn’t give you the whole plan. He just wants you to be obedient with the small steps towards it. And this month I found the relief you feel when (after too much overthinking) you finally make the decision to trust. To take that next step. It doesn’t look logical, but often times that’s how obedience looks like. And I’m so thankful that in making that next step, I found the support from my family and friends I really needed. So now we’re up to the next adventure. Welcome, new season. I’m excited. ☀️ by @niastoitseva

Academy camp 2026

I don’t want to forget how easy it is to bless someone. How easy God’s love is shown in small acts of kindness and sacrifice for others. How one day of work in the field can become such a precious memory, an open door for good conversations and a testimony. How easy it is to be the light in someone else’s story. How big your heart becomes afterwards. 🫶🏻 by @niastoitseva

July 🏕️

July was full of everything. Excitement and boredom, chaos and peace, joy and tears.
I keep asking God the same questions and in one moment He feels distant, in another He feels so close. And I keep reminding myself - it doesn’t matter how I feel it, He is always closer than I know.
I finished the book about prayer from my previous post and I’ll share a quote from those last chapters I really liked:

“Teach us to pray.” And Jesus responds, essentially, “Pray to God more intimately than you think you’re allowed to because this is about love, and center your life according to a disciplined rhythm of prayer because fidelity is the soil that love grows in.” I hear Jesus saying, “Here’s my secret: pray with the heart of a lover and the discipline of a monk. That’s how you choose fidelity, and when you do, it quenches your desires in such a satisfying way that everything else becomes the boring part.”
(from the book “Praying like monks, living like fools” by Tyler Staton)
The chapter this quote belongs to is called “Rebellious fidelity” and it was about having those regular meetings with God, even when you don’t see the meaning in them. It hit home, because I love my quiet time with God in the morning- I like to spend the first hour(s) of my day with Him. And as it has grown to become a habit, I’ve realised that now my soul anticipates these meetings. Even when I am confused, my thoughts are everywhere and when I’m frustrated with God, these moments quiet my soul to just sit with Him, trusting He is present with me. Because He knows we will meet in the morning, it’s our regular practice, so we meet, so we sit together. Sometimes in silence, sometimes in new revelations, other times with songs, and other - with honest tears. I’ve come to know that from everything I do throughout my days - this morning time with God is the most meaningful part of it. I did a lot of things this month- two camps, lots of travelling, praying for people, listening to them, helping around, leading. And yet none of it would have had any meaning, if it wasn’t done for the One I meet with every morning - the lover of my soul, Jesus Christ. 🤍 by @niastoitseva

Fusion camp 2026 (behind the scenes version) 🎶

There is something about choirs that will always remind me of heaven. This time it was the aspect of seeing people from different nations, colors and ages all together, moving as one, singing and having fun. It was a celebration of unity and getting to see it from the perspective of the conductor was a privilege.
This camp had so many unexpected changes - like not having electricity the last two days when we had to do the main rehearsals for the concert. And yet in those moments I was glad to see I served alongside people with character. No one complained, no one panicked. We were all so flexible with the time that I was simply amazed. I’m grateful for all of those leaders and for the campers who were okay to go with it. We made it! It was a crazy week. I’m happy I did it with the good crazy kind of people. Love you all <3

Smolyan camp 2026 🏕️

I have many highlights from being a leader at this camp, but I’ll share one moment here. It’s from the second day when I had the opportunity to belay the campers and there was a group of four girls who all went through me. All of them were ready to give up in the middle of the climb and to all of them I didn’t give that option. Then it was a highlight when each one reached the end goal and then came down to me and said “thank you for not letting me give up”. It was a simple thing, but it filled my heart. I remembered when I was at their place some years ago and there was a leader back then, who didn’t let me give up as well. So now it was my turn to keep encouraging them to go and celebrate their wins! It’s the part of being a leader that I really enjoy.
Camp was fun. The places were gorgeous. The people were so nice. I enjoyed serving alongside the other leaders who came from different places from the world. It was a beautiful week <3 by @niastoitseva

June 🌿

June has been a lot of travelling and moving between the place I call home and some new ones. As I am now in Smolyan for a number of weeks to serve the local church here, I’ve been asking God a lot of questions. And there is one book I’ve been reading that has challenged me to be even more honest with God in my prayers. The book is called “Praying like monks, living like fools” by Tyler Staton and I couldn’t recommend it enough!
As I’ve been going through a lot of changes this year, there is one anchor that keeps me steady - that’s prayer. So if you’re stressed, anxious about anything, depressed or actually excited for the things to come - I’m challenging you to pray about it. And here is a quote from the first chapter of the book that I want to encourage you with:

“Praying is more practice than theory, so let me offer a starting place, with a phrase from Dom John Chapman: “Pray as you can, and don’t try to pray as you can’t.” If you can’t pray for an hour, great. Don’t try. It’ll feel like an eternity. Pray for a minute.
“Pray as you can, and don’t try to pray as you can’t.”

If you zone out every time you try to pray at home, pray while you’re running errands or exercising or walking down the sidewalk.

If you can’t concentrate enough to pray aloud, journal prayers with paper and pen.

If you can’t pray with hope and faith, God isn’t bothered. He wants you to tell him about your doubt and disappointment.

If you can’t pray in phases of praise and adoration, don’t fake it. Pray your complaints, your anger, or your confusion.

And if you’re more comfortable with cynicism than innocence, unsure about your motives, afraid of silence, afraid of an answer, or pretty confident you aren’t doing it right, you’re in the perfect starting place.

Pray as you can, and somewhere along the way, you will make the most important discovery of your life - the love the Father has for you. That discovery is God’s end of the deal. Your part is just to show up honestly. Show up, and keep showing up. That’s the one nonnegotiable when it comes to prayer.
And that invitation is for everybody. “

Graduated the first year of Zoe’s school for ministry and leadership “The Burning ones” 🥳🔥❤️‍🔥

It was a year of surrender, transformation and new encounters with God. The October me probably won’t be able to recognise me now! I’m so thankful I said “yes” to God’s invitation into this year and for everything He did! I’m thankful for my pastors, my teachers and all of my new friends I can call family! You are an answer to my prayers! Love you all! 🫶🏻

May 🌸

Trust and faith are best friends. The type where if you want to hang out with one, you have to count in the other.
I can’t ask God to give me more faith and not expect Him to give me opportunities to trust.
Faith is like diving into the sea, then trust comes when God calls you to stay in the deep. That’s when you have the choice to go back to the surface or to let go of your final breath. Both faith and trust require you to die for yourself. And after you’ve entrusted your last breath, He gives you a new one that lets you live underwater. And you find out that from the beginning, that’s where you were created to live. That you were made so that every breath you take is in trust to the One who gives it to you. by @niastoitseva
