I wrote this at the park one day once I realized how much I became so consumed in all of the “wrong” in my life. Nothings perfect. It’s about being able to dance in the rain, and praise him in pain. The world is so beautiful when you change your perspective. Let me see y’all nature/scenic pictures to the song! 🫶🏾

I’ve learned that this transitional stage in life can be hard. Dealt with moments of depression, and almost put myself back in that dark hole I once was in. I wrote the song ‘Catharsis’ after realizing maybe I just needed to vent. It became more than just a release of emotions, but a feeling of euphoria and understanding that I will be ok. That song is for the people who are in that transitional stage in life, and I hope you’ll find peace in knowing that God got you 🤲🏾 keep up the hard work and faith, and it’ll all fall into place. Now, for the rest of the songs just know its way more to life than the materialistic things, and everything that glitters ain’t gold. I still pray for my brothers thinkin the trap the only way out.🙏🏾it’s called the trap for a reason. Ask yourself, if you lost it all, are you still you? I hope y’all enjoy. Peace and love 🫶🏾

less than a year later I went and got another one 🎓

Thanking God as I will be crossing the stage with my Masters in Social Work from the Joint Masters Program in Social Work at NCAT & UNCG 💙💛 Plenty of times I doubted myself because I always thought a guy looking like me could never achieve so much in such a short time span, BUT I DID IT!

3 more days and I walk across that stage with a BSW 🎓🥂

My 3 years here at A&T have been a blur, and one thing I can say is that I’ve gained so many friends/family. 🫶🏾 The connections and networking opportunities have been such a blessing. I will continue working to become the best social worker I can be, and continue to serve every community as possible. I love all the Gibbs kids, and appreciate the time we’ve had no matter how small. Praying God continues blessing you all!
