Happy pub day @jasonrekulak !! Had a wonderful time tonight at an @anunlikelystory getting to hear him talk about his new book and also getting to see what exactly goes into the art that is in the book itself! I have to say I listened to the book on my way down to Plainville and back and it’s amazing. Super creepy in all the best ways and the pictures add so much to it! Definitely going to relisten while reading the book for the full effect!! Also, loved getting to see @hankpryan again who is quite frankly one of the best people ever to interview authors. She absolutely never disappoints, is so incredibly kind, and writes amazing books (her latest came out last month and you should absolutely read it). An amazing night, definitely one for the books 🖤🖤

And the Metrowest Humane Society was present and had some great cat items and raffles! Got the cats some nice fleece blankets and cat nip toys and donated some money too. They do such great work and take care of all types of cats, even the ones that may be really sick and turned away from other places. You all know I love animals, so getting to see great authors and support the cats was the best night! taken in An Unlikely Story by @niccisnerdnook

Had the distinct pleasure of getting to meet @rachelharrisonsghost and @emchughes17 last night at An Unlikely Story to celebrate the release of Rachel’s new book Kiss Slay Replay! Both are such wonderful people who are amazing writers! @bookwormdanii and I listened to Cackle on the way down and back and I have to say, Rachel is a horror genius! And both authors were so sweet and nice and just a joy to sit and listen to 🖤 taken in An Unlikely Story Bookstore by @niccisnerdnook

In all the celebration of Dalton today, I’ve taken a few quiet moments to remember this lady right here. The pain of losing you still sits in my heart and I feel it keenly in these moments where we celebrate milestones. I cry often at the fact that you never got to meet Dalton, although I sometimes think you knew him before I did and sent him right to us on angels wings. What I wouldn’t give to sit in a corner and talk shit with you at a party. Or to get parenting advice from you. Or just to have you listen to me when I’m so overwhelmed and don’t know where to go. I miss those quiet moments of wisdom that you gave me, I still cherish every single one of them. So here’s to you, Memere. I hope you know how much we miss you and how much of an impact you made on our worlds 🖤 by @niccisnerdnook

How it started vs how it’s going. My sweet boy is one. Who would have ever thought we’d be here today 🖤 There has been so much laughter and so much love, so many hugs and so many tears (his and mine 🙈). This year has taught me so much. It’s definitely been learning by trial by fire! But in the end we are all learning and loving and everything has turned out fine. I’ll never get tired of hearing your little voice say mama or point out the nearest star at every opportunity. I’ll never get tired of reading to you with silly voices just to hear you giggle. I’ll never get tired of playing popcorn kernels with you before bed or of dancing to the bluey theme song or Ms Rachel. I will cherish every moment I can and I’m so excited to see what future things you’ll learn and we’ll get to do together. Being your mama has been the hardest but most rewarding title I’ve ever had, sweet Dalty. So happiest of birthdays to you, sweet boy.
