⠀ NICEWORKSHOP has focused on the forms and structures found in construction sites and industrial environments. Temporary structures such as scaffolding and formwork, which are assembled when needed and dismantled once their purpose is fulfilled, have been an important starting point for the studio’s work. ⠀ The project began as an exploration of how these ideas could be translated into an object at a smaller, more personal scale. It brings the temporality, mobility, and responsiveness of temporary structures to the scale of the human body. An umbrella unfolds when needed and folds away after use. Its lightweight frame and membrane move with the individual, responding to environmental conditions while creating a temporary space around the body. by @niceworkshop_

⠀ Milan Design Week 2026, CHOPSTICKS 箸 ⠀ For us, chopsticks are a very familiar everyday tool. However, we also recognize that for users from cultures centered around forks and knives, chopsticks can still feel unfamiliar and difficult to handle. This project began from that gap. Rather than focusing only on the form, we approached chopsticks as a tool that could help users experience and learn their use more intuitively. ⠀ Inspired by seashells, this work is formed by fragmenting mother-of-pearl and applying it onto an aluminum plate, building a surface through the accumulation of small pieces. The irregular fragments create subtle shifts in light and texture, changing with the viewing angle. by @niceworkshop_
