The bodyguard and the ballerina ⋆˚࿔

Safiyah is teaching Magnolia how to perform interrogations but it looks like she already knows a thing or two about it 😌

These two are from my Webtoon, Absinthe! I have yet to find the time to revive it but for now, enjoy these snippets of their dynamic 💕

pov: Rocky visits Grace on Earth and opens up a Me Burger franchise 🍔🍟 featuring Stratt!!

I recently finished the Project Hail Mary book and I cried. Then proceeded to write a one page reflection on the first blank page in the book. Anyway, I healed after seeing the plushie competition for @alexxuun 🥹💕

Mini doodle comic heh bc I can’t help but draw the sillies 😝

Creation process aka a word vom from last night 😭

COMPOSITION
The Petrova Berry Milkshake connects Rocky and Grace, similar to how their missions were intertwined in space. Rocky sent out the Blip-A, aka the milkshake, and Grace was truly the “cherry on top” in figuring out their problems.

COMPOSITION
I love the intimacy and vulnerability of looking through windows because it’s a peek into someone’s life. Creating the white exterior helps the viewer focus on the scene inside the diner. The perspective also leads the viewer’s eyes to Stratt.

COLORS
I wanted to recreate the ethereal visuals of the streaky film they used to transition between the aspect ratios of the past and present scenes.

To achieve this, I used a low-contrast palette, colored the line art with a saturated orange, and dusted the scene with a yellow-orange on an “Add” adjustment layer.

COMPOSITION
The circular windows of the door match the vinyl records.

GRAPHIC DESIGN
Easter eggs on the menu, Grace’s shirt, and Rocky’s hat + I’m based in CA, aka where one of my favorite burger places exists.

COMPOSITION
Stratt is separated to show the physical and emotional space between her and Grace. He trusted her, and as his memories came back, his resentment for her did too. But at the end of it all, Grace did what he had to do.
