I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN CHANGE MY LIFE.

Out here early this morning, getting my workout in, clearing my head, and thinking about the things I want to change, the things I need to do, and the man I'm working every day to become.

Here's something I've learned: Nobody can do this shit for you.

You can have people who love you, people who believe in you, and people who want to see you succeed. But at the end of the day, YOU have to take that first step. YOU have to make that decision. And YOU have to show up when it's hard, when you're tired, and when nobody's watching.

I know there are people out there struggling right now. Struggling with their past, their habits, their circumstances, or just trying to figure out how to put their lives back together.

Listen to me. You don't have to change everything overnight.

Just take one step today.

Then wake up tomorrow and give it another 10%.

A little more discipline.
A little more effort.
A little more honesty with yourself.
A little more belief that you're capable of becoming something greater than the person you were yesterday.

Keep stacking those days. Keep building those habits. Keep showing up.

Before you know it, those little steps start adding up. The mindset changes. The body gets stronger. The confidence comes back. And the person you once thought you couldn't become starts looking back at you in the mirror.

You're not waiting for a miracle anymore. You're becoming the miracle through the work you put in every damn day.

YOU ARE BUILDING A MACHINE. A FUCKING BAD MOTHERFUCKER.

And the beautiful thing? You don't need anybody's permission to start.

You just need to decide that the life you've been living doesn't have to be the life you keep living.

I'm out here doing the work. For my body. For my mind. For my future. For my kids. And for the man I know I'm capable of being.

One day at a time. One step at a time. One fucking victory at a time.

109 DAYS SOBER TODAY. 💪🔥

"The first step towards success is taken when you refuse to be a captive of the environment in which you first find yourself."

Let that sink in for a minute.

When I first started trying to get sober, I was a prisoner in my own head. I was trapped in addiction, trapped in my own thinking, and trapped in a cycle that I desperately wanted to escape but couldn't seem to break.

I kept telling myself, "I'll do it later. I'll figure it out tomorrow."

But tomorrow kept getting pushed back. Later never fucking came.

Until one day, I hit rock bottom. The kind of rock bottom that almost took my life.

But I'm still here. And I refused to give up.

I reached out for help. I started putting in the work. I made a decision that I was going to do everything in my power to build a life I didn't need to escape from.

And that's exactly what I've been doing.

109 days. One day at a time. One decision at a time.

I make a point of remembering where I came from. Not to punish myself, not to live in shame, but to remind myself of what happens when I stop fighting for the life I deserve.

Because here's the thing about life: SHIT HAPPENS.

Bills pile up. Relationships change. People leave. Plans fall apart. Unexpected problems show up when you already feel like you're carrying too much.

And if you let those things stack up without taking care of yourself, eventually, they can break you.

But they don't have to.

You can choose to reach out. You can choose to ask for help. You can choose to get back up when life knocks you on your ass. You can choose to do something different, even when everything inside you wants to go back to what's familiar.

You don't have to be a prisoner of your past, your environment, your circumstances, or your own mind.

YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

I'm not saying it's easy. I'm not saying I've got everything figured out. I'm saying I'm putting in the work every single day, and I'm living proof that things can get better when you refuse to give up on yourself.

One of the most inspiring people in my life taught me something that I'll carry with me forever:

“Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after the other.”

107 DAYS SOBER. 🔥💪

It's 7 AM. I'm out at the park, working on my body, working on my mind, and reminding myself why life is so fucking beautiful.

Some days, I'm mad at myself. Most days, I fucking love myself. But every day, I'm learning that I don't have to be perfect to be proud of the man I'm becoming.

Life isn't one long race. It's a hundred little races, one after another. Some days, you win big. Some days, just getting out of bed, showing up, and choosing to keep going is the victory.

And that's what I'm doing. KEEPING FUCKING GOING.

I'm building a stronger body, a stronger mind, and a better future. Not just for myself, but for my kids and everyone I love.

I'm learning to give myself grace without giving myself excuses. To acknowledge my mistakes without letting them define me. And to recognize how far I've come while staying hungry for how far I can still go.

107 days ago, I made a choice. Today, I make that choice again.

One workout. One good decision. One small victory at a time.

I'm not perfect. I'm a work in progress. But I'm proud of the man I'm becoming.

LIFE IS FUCKING BEAUTIFUL. ❤️

Keep running your race, even when nobody is watching. Especially when nobody is watching.

Happy fucking birthday, old man! 🖤🎉

The years of laughing until we cry, crying until we laugh, and all the life stories we’ve shared while you were tattooing me, late at night in my shop or yours, or the in the middle of the night calls when your head just doesn’t want to slow down. 😅🫂

From all the fun times at DBD and the parties we probably should have never had (😵‍💫🫪), to the more often than not moments when my head is about to explode because I’m always working on something, you somehow know exactly how to make me laugh or just simply slow down.

I swear, the amount of energy you have is absolutely ridiculous. I’m over here running on fumes, and somehow you manage to help me find a little more gas in the tank. 🤣

But underneath all that crazy energy, that big personality, and that humor of yours is one hell of a heart.

One of the things I admire most about you is the father you are. Watching you with your kids, seeing the love you have for them, and the way you never seem to lose that big kid inside of you says so much about the person you are. And somehow, that big kid in you always manages to pull out the little kid in me, too. The one who sometimes forgets that life isn’t supposed to be so damn serious/stressful all the time.

You’ve got a special soul, my friend. And I’m grateful for the laughs, the conversations, the memories, the friendship, the strength, the support, the inspiration, and even all the crazy moments in between.

Life has a funny way of coming full circle, and I couldn’t be happier or more proud that our roads have brought us back around to this chapter.

Here’s to more laughter, more memories, more late-night conversations, more days and nights at 6142, filling each other’s stockings 🎅, and a whole lot more life to live!

Where do I even begin? 🖤

To our clients, our family, our friends, and every single person who ever walked through our doors and supported House of Hands — THANK YOU.

To the people who quite literally broke their fucking backs helping us build this place. From smashing down walls to grinding concrete, from inflatable frog costumes and ridiculous laughter to the tears, the wins, the losses, and everything in between.

You helped build so much more than a tattoo shop.

To my clients who trusted me with their skin, their stories, their milestones, their grief, and their celebrations — you have given me more than I could ever put into words.

We’ve made friendships, memories, mistakes, and some pretty incredible art along the way. We’ve celebrated victories together and held each other up through some of the hardest moments.

House of Hands was never just four walls and a name on a building. It was the people who filled it.

As this chapter comes to a close, I hope everyone who was ever a part of it knows just how much they meant to us.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in us, growing with us, and giving us five incredible years.
