“Post Cards From London”

Three days tearing through London — chasing light through buildings, cabs, trains & buses, making films with a small crew packed with bold ideas and just enough madness to keep things interesting.

I’ve always had a soft spot for family-owned-&-run companies, probably because my mom and dad were doing the same thing throughout my life. Trusting themselves and the team around them to make brave, ambitious decisions and somehow bring it all to life.

No Crane No Problem

Post our first agency/production call this shot ran through my brain for ages, trying to work out how to achieve it without a grip or a crane. One of those shots that kept you awake at night staring at the ceiling. All the vignettes we created had to be oner’s, so I couldn’t cheat a cutting point somewhere in the move.

We ended up mounting the Movi Pro @freeflysystems to a goalpost, raise up as high as we could safely go on the triple riser. Found our 1’s & 2’s.
Then gathering as many hands as possible we tilted the goalpost smoothly while I operated the remote head.
It ended up worked quite nicely.

Thanks to all the hands and minds that brought this one to life.
