POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

i figured with a big change in my career, id give an update to my editing reel.

none of this work would be possible without all the talented shooters and producers i’ve had the honor to work with. i truly cannot thank y’all enough.

one big shoutout goes out to @forrestroy, my producer partner in crime, who I’ve had the pleasure of working with on plenty of pieces within our young careers. excited to see where the future will take us.

finally, I wanted to shoutout @lobo__films for the boxing footage. it was a joy to take a stab at editing more in that realm.

looking forward to see where 2024 will take me.

much love ✌️❤️

the end.

yesterday marked the conclusion of a journey covering a historic season for women’s basketball.

9 months. 5 episodes. countless hours and sleepless nights have lead to this moment. season 1 of ROOTED is officially in the books.

imposter syndrome is something that’s been with me my whole life. with that, i’ve always struggled to really bask in the moments and recognize accomplishments such as these.

today is different.

this project challenged my skills and expanded my knowledge as an editor. this rewarding feeling is something i’ll never forget.

thank you @chrisdionphoto and @dmc_lynn for believing in us from the start with this idea and giving us the keys to make something great.

thank you to all those who’ve had a hand in contributing to the process of making this.

finally, thank you to my guy @forrestroy. you always believed in my skillset and I wouldn’t have wanted to accomplish this big of a feat with anyone else. your growth as both a filmmaker and director shined in this series and I hope you recognize that.

the finale. out now. thank you.

much love ✌️❤️ by @nickcancreate

grateful to the higher powers above for the blessing to allow me to have been on this planet for a quarter of a century.

but I don’t look for today to be about me. instead I look to celebrate the historical impact that this season of women’s college basketball has had nationwide.

i’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to help cover the journey of this game through so many different perspectives these past few months through our series “ROOTED”, as well as return to my home state to cover the Final Four with some of the most creative and talented individuals.

i love what i do and i hope you do too.

too many people to be thankful for. to my friends and family, know that my life wouldn’t be as amazing as it is without your presence and energy.

sending blessings to you and yours.

ROOTED finale coming soon.

onto the next year.

much love ❤️✌️ taken in Blessed by @nickcancreate

been taking some time to think about what to say here but two words consistently ran through my mind:

thank you.

thank you @overtime for the best two and a half years.

thank you @benardw for taking a chance on a kid from ohio to help a league’s content team from it’s inception.

thank you to all the amazing teammates that have made me excited to come into work every single day. you were all truly a one in a million team to work with. i ran out of tags on this post, but you all know who you are.

the journey continues. more to come soon.

much love ✌️❤️ taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @nickcancreate

last month, season 3 of the OTE regular season had begun.

with that, we were given the task of producing an opening video partnered with GMC to kick it all off. this was the end result.

there are too many people to shoutout who contributed to making this piece a reality, but I wanted to thank @karimrashad the most for entrusting me with editing this vision, as well as @realjaywilliams for bringing the most energy on set.

(bonus shoutout to @boring.films for the crisp drone footage 🤌) taken in OTE Arena by @nickcancreate

here’s a quick look into my timeline from my last post, breaking down the sound design that went into it.

of course visuals are important, but adding little audio elements are what take videos to the next level. always looking to improve step by step.
