My wife will never come home to a man who’s wasted, unfaithful, or absent.

She’ll never have to wonder if I’ll protect her, provide for her, or show up emotionally.

And she’ll never have to choose between me and Jesus because I’ll be the one leading her closer to Him.

She’ll have a man that helps her grow into the woman God has called her to be.

I used to think loving her just meant showing up because I cared. But love without action isn’t love. It’s just a feeling.

Now I know it means showing up when it costs me something. When it requires my sacrifice, my discipline, my change.

She doesn’t need to rely on my promises. She needs my change through the actions I take every single day. by @nickcmofficial

I said it.

“I will never fall in love again.”

And I haven’t yet.

Because I finally saw something that I had been missing.

Somewhere along the way, I started chasing a version of myself that wasn’t mine just to be enough for someone else.

You may already know this, but you can’t build a future by becoming who someone needs you to be right now. That’s not love. That’s performance.

The moment I stopped performing is the moment I actually started becoming who God created me to be. By doing that it created less pressure and developed a sense of fulfillment in my life

If you find yourself shrinking your calling to keep someone around then this is your sign to stop.

At the end of the day, the right person won’t need you to become somebody. They’ll recognize who you already are and where you are going.

Every restoration story looks impossible right up until it doesn’t.

I know that firsthand.

I was almost bankrupt at 23, trying to build a business. Thought I’d messed up the entire trajectory of my life.

Behind. Lost. Frustrated. Defeated with myself.

I didn’t see the comeback coming at all. You never do.

That’s what nobody tells you about restoration. It doesn’t feel like restoration while you’re in it.

It feels like starting over again. Alone in the gym before anyone’s up. Praying the same prayer you’ve prayed a hundred times, wondering if God’s even listening.

I remember thinking maybe this was just my life now.

It wasn’t.

God wasn’t done. He just wasn’t doing it my way, on my timeline.

That season humbled me. Gave me the heart posture I needed to step into my calling. Built the character to actually steward what God has for me and what’s still coming.

If you’re in the middle of your version of this, the mess isn’t disqualifying you. It’s what He’s going to use.

Jeremiah 29:11. His plans were never to harm you. They were to prosper you.

That’s not a coincidence. That’s just how He works.

If this is you right now, I see you. Keep going.
