I loved visiting @fleursdevilles DIANA at Somerset House with @donnaeastonjoy celebrating the life and legacy of Diana, Princess of Wales through the most extraordinary floral creations inspired by some of her iconic looks.

I’ve supported @dianaaward and my dear friend @tessyojo for many years and have always felt a real affinity with the charity and the incredible work it does empowering young people.

But Diana’s story also has a very personal significance for me. My own mother passed away on the very same day as Diana so that moment in history will forever be intertwined with one of the most profound moments of my own life.

Nearly 30 years later, seeing Diana’s legacy celebrated in such a beautiful way while supporting a charity continuing her belief in the power of young people felt particularly poignant. The exhibition is only on for a few weeks so make sure you visit @somersethouse and experience it for yourself.

What a fabulous evening in Madrid @casino_de_madrid of fundraising, flamenco, friendship and whisky! At the @cash_and_rocket Gala in aid of @globalgiftfoundation I hosted the gala with the fabulous @officialnievesa and we helped raise thousands for @casaangelesbyglobalgift The work that @juliebrangstrup_ and her team do is amazing and all the ladies who attended looked sensational and kept the party going until the small hours. #madrid #charity #friends taken in Casino De Madrid by @nickede

Yesterday at @ideas_fest I saw the fabulous @ellaschweigerr who has created the most wonderful movement Ella’s Envelope. I rushed over to her and told her that I find what she’s doing truly inspiring and just something so honest, natural, kind and brilliant. Her enthusiasm and energy is infectious and she encompasses joy and kindness. Follow her now I promise you won’t regret it. Her messages from strangers really is so simple and so clever. My message really hit home as imposter syndrome has been rearing its ugly head for the past few weeks. Seeing everyone hit the red carpet at the National Television Awards last night took me straight back to 2008, when I somehow found myself hosting the NTA fashion coverage for ITV2.

At the time I was a judge on Sky One’s Project Catwalk and was asked to cast my eye over the red carpet and give my verdict on who looked fabulous… and who perhaps needed to have another word with their stylist!

It was basically our version of Fashion Police and I absolutely loved it.I went on to host the fashion coverage for six years, from the Royal Albert Hall to The O2, watching every single look come down that carpet and then giving my opinion.

TV was very different then as you could be a lot more brutal without waking up the next morning to discover you’d been cancelled!

But I always tried to make the criticism constructive. Everyone walking that carpet had made an effort, was probably nervous and deserved to enjoy their moment.

Looking at last night’s NTAs, it struck me how much red carpet culture has changed. Today every look is instantly dissected on social media, everyone is their own commentator and the conversation happens in real time.

Back then, we were doing it from a TV truck with a bank of monitors and an editor shouting in my ear!

It was a brilliant chapter of my TV career and one I’ll always be incredibly fond of.

Although I have to admit… watching last night, there were definitely a few looks I would have LOVED to comment on!
