Nick Guevera @nickg_tattoo had a pretty typical start in tattooing.

A girl from his high school bought him his first tattoo machine on eBay after crowdfunding the money by selling snacks in class. He loves telling that story because her generosity ultimately set the rest of his life in motion.

He spent the next two years absolutely obliterating his friends’ limbs before deciding to take tattooing more seriously. He fought hard to land an apprenticeship, only to eventually get fired.

It wasn’t until Nick moved to Seattle that he really began exploring drawing and designing pieces that challenged and inspired him. He spent nearly a decade deliberately studying, experimenting, and pushing himself to understand and develop the style he works in today.

That dedication hasn’t stopped. Nick continues to challenge himself and refine his craft almost every single day, with no intention of slowing down until his hands give out or he keels over. You can find Nick and other artists at www.Inker.com by @nickg_tattoo
