Absolutely Unreal!!!!! I still hardly have any words for what happened yesterday on a river that has been so good to me! I have chased this dream for a long time and yesterday for the first time I got to taste victory! This means so much to me and I’m so blessed to be able to do this and actually compete with some of the best guys to do it! I love fishing and this won’t be the last one! I will never forget this, but I’m already thinking about getting another one! Thank you to everyone that’s helped me out along the way, family, friends, and my sponsors! We did it!!! We’re married! Saturday was the most perfect day and we had a beautiful wedding! I’m the luckiest man in the world and @bellahat_ was gorgeous as always! Grand lake was only grand for the first day! Need to get my butt in gear and start making some better decisions in the tournament! Finished up right outside of the KO round, but we will end the season strong! by @nickhat47

Got the win in the Tuesday afternoon derb with @bellahat_ on Douglas! Won big fish too with a 5 pounder! She caught as many as I did and most of the ones we weighed in! by @nickhat47

Happy Anniversary to the love of my life! Got to spend most of the day with you today thinking back on the years, and I am so glad God put you in my life! Been together for 8 and married for 4 and I’ve loved every second of it! You’ve given me the most precious baby boy to raise and been there for everything good and bad! Not the week we were looking for on the home pond! Definitely wish I would have done things a little differently, but it’s also hard to complain about it at the same time! That lake has gotten really tough the last several years and I knew it would be a hard one to win! I had the fish found to do it I just didn’t rotate through them the right way. Had a solid start on Beaver last week but struggled badly on day 2… I made some decisions that cost me the cut and as bad as I hate it, it’s just part of the game sometimes. What I’m not happy with is that it’s been a consistent problem for me the last 3 regular season events. Backs against the wall with a lot of ground to make up in the last 2 events of the season! by @nickhat47
