It breaks my heart to have to say this, but I have made the decision to step away from racing for the remainder of this year.

As many of you know, motorcycle racing has been a huge part of my life for the past 12 years or more. From road racing to short circuits, it's given me unforgettable memories, incredible friendships, and experiences I'll cherish forever.

Sadly, with the recent loss of friends in our racing community, I'm finding it difficult to get my head back in the right place. Right now, I know it's the right decision to take a step back and focus on what matters most.

I want to say a massive thank you to all of my sponsors, supporters, friends, family, and everyone who has followed and encouraged me throughout this incredible journey. I truly couldn't have done it without you.

For now, I'm going to dedicate my time to my kids and to some personal projects that have been put on hold for far too long. Family has to come first.

I'll reassess everything in 2027 and see how I feel then. Whatever the future holds, I'll always be grateful to have been part of such an amazing sport and community.
Thank you all for your understanding, your support, and your friendship.

God bless, Nick

My buddy my old pal James Walsh has passed away following his racing incident while we were competing at the Tandragee 100 road races . Despite the efforts of the first responders ,medical team and doctors at the Belfast Royal James unfortunately passed due to injuries.
Thank you to everyone that helped james and everyone who cared for him at the end .
He was a happy soul and always smiling. He had an amazing influence in the racing world and around cork . As everyone knows.
He will be greatly missed with his chuckle and positive nature 😢.
I pass my deepest condolences too claire his partner, his mother Geraldine ,his family and friends .
Its been a tough few days after accident , but james is at peace now .
Ride high buddy until we meet again. Keep smiling 😃 by @nickhealy151
