It's the cute paw, and the tufts in the ear, and the red patch behind her ear, and the dreamy twitches you can't see...

Such a gorgeous cat, unwanted for 3.5 months in the SPCA 😁 Loved for 6.5 years here. So glad we found her.

I never shared the stitching I did while we were on holiday 🇪🇸

I actually didn't do a lot, and although in some ways this was a perfect summer travel project (small, light and very portable), it also turned out to be pretty hard to stitch on train and bus journeys. I needed knitting (which I didn't take as we travelled very light!) for those 😆

Next holiday (hopefully) I'll take easy knitting for airconditioned bus and train journeys and cross stitch for chilling at hotels 😊

Summer Schoolhouse series stitched 1 over 1 on recommended lugana with recommended threads.

It's September, so that means spring is here and winter is over 🌷🌱 It also means it's sampler month!

I was looking at photos from our holiday in Spain, and I thought you might like to see some of the stunning embroidery in the Royal Palace in Madrid.

These look like paintings, but I promise you, they are embroidery! I stood as close as I could get and peered at so.e of them for ages to see all the stitches.

1. A chair back.
2. Embroidered wallpaper. The whole room was covered in this. It was incredible and photos just can't catch it.
3. The corner of an enormous silk panel covering most of a wall.
4. Another beautiful chair.

Stitched on 40ct Ivory linen with the recommended threads.

I've left my initial off and debated changing the date to this year, but decided to keep it as it was. Such a fun stitch 😍
