Day 6 - RTP done

I can’t believe that we are actually only 25 km away from Parliament House. We made it. I still can’t believe the unreal day we had today and how quickly things can change with just a little bit of support. We are so grateful for all the support on the last video coming from so many different directions. We really appreciate it.

Day 5 done. 52 km run.

A lot of ups and downs. It’s so hard to process this whole journey. It has been 6 days on the road with an amazing crew, and I could not do this without them. Everybody has a role in making this project as big as possible so we can create real impact and support as many people as we can.

After a shitty night of sleep, I’m feeling really flat. We are not connecting with the wider community the way we need to, and we need your help.

No matter how loud I scream, sometimes it feels like nobody is listening. No media. No powerful people. No big company sponsorships. No real interaction with our posts.

But this is bigger than me.
This is for every family living with epilepsy.
For every parent scared to go to sleep.
For every person fighting to feel seen.

Day 3 – challenging day.

I don’t know why, but I knew Day 3 would be a challenge. When I was planning, I saw it had the most elevation of all the days, and I thought it would be very hard. Then I managed to change the route, and it looked similar to the other days.

But before the run, I got a text saying one of my friends had passed away. I felt very sad, upset, devastated. I didn’t understand anything, but life keeps going and I had to get to Canberra. I couldn’t just stop, because I have the responsibility of carrying the voices of people living with epilepsy to Parliament. This is bigger than me.

Of course, I grieved, cried, screamed… and we still got the job done.

This run is dedicated to her 💜💜

BTW, we took a wrong turn using an old map, so now we need to add another 6 km to this journey. by @nickk.dwyer
