Exploring the depths of electronic music…
Deep | Organic | Progressive | Electronica

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For a long time, I’ve been focused on making music, developing my sound, and finding the right homes for the music I create. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to release on some incredible labels, work with great artists, and connect with people who genuinely understand what I’m trying to do.

But there’s another side to this journey that I think a lot of independent artists can relate to.

My sound has never really fit neatly into one box. It sits somewhere between deep, atmospheric, minimal, organic, progressive.. who knows... Emotional, intricate, textured… I make music because I have something I want to express, not because I’m trying to recreate what’s already working.

Not every track will resonate with everyone, and that’s completely fine. But at some point, I started asking myself a simple question: why am I waiting for others to give me permission to release the music I believe in?

That question became Reimagine After Dark - my own label.

Launching my own record label in January 2027 is about taking ownership of my creative direction. It’s about building something that reflects my vision, my taste, and my approach to music - something I have been creating now for 14 years…

I want Reimagine After Dark to be a home for music that has its own identity. Music that explores the deeper side of electronic music, pushes beyond predictable formulas, and prioritizes feeling, atmosphere, and originality over following trends.

I recognize that if I want to build something that truly represents me, sometimes I have to be the one to build it.

There’s something liberating about that. Just the freedom to create, release, experiment, and follow an idea wherever it leads.

Reimagine After Dark is more than a record label. It’s a commitment to my own creative path.

The first EP release is coming in January, and I’m looking forward to sharing this next chapter with you. I have a lot of music I believe in, a clear vision for what I want this label to become, and plenty more to come.

Sometimes, when the door doesn’t open, you have to build your own.

Welcome to Reimagine After Dark. by @nicknewmanoriginal

Fantastic night with @soundwave.la last night! I had warm up duties for @nicorada - playing the 10-12 set.

My set started gradually at 118bpm with deep organic house and breaks vibes… it picked up throughout the 2 hours to 122bpm progressive house - setting up Nico to keep it rising during the peak hours.

Thanks to everyone in attendance, it was a great night. My set will be posted in the next few days.

My latest release, Solitude at 3am is out now! Thanks to the wonderful @lootrecordings and @keredofficial as well as the other great artists featured on this compilation.

My part in this release…
There’s something different about 3 a.m. The world feels distant. Everything slows down, and you’re left with your thoughts, your surroundings, and a kind of quiet that you don’t normally get during the day.

For me, this track is about finding comfort in that space. It’s not really about loneliness. It’s about solitude… being alone without needing to escape from it.

I hope you felt that too. by @nicknewmanoriginal
