Always thought the bass could've used some more low mids... thanks to ShinzBass and some articulating, Whoomp! What other bass-centric themes should you run through it ?

Here we are playing a lil slap lick on the electric bass guitar....This is my Michael Tobias Design 532 17mm with some EMG pickups in there and some Jim Dunlop hybrid steel/nickel strings. I like mixing up some traditional Larry Graham/Flea style "off" the string style slapping with the Wooten double thumb/"through" the string technique. What are some of your favorite slap bass lines? by @nickshinz

Tossing it back about 15 years to "Ohrwurm" off of Misled by Certainty. Still one of my more difficult tracks to play, it's a dexterity endurance challenge for me for sure. If you're interested in learning double thumb in extreme metal but having trouble, comment "derp"! - Nick by @nickshinz

Rewatching Yellowstone and it inspired me to break out the ol' Taylor Sheridan Horsey-Horsey-Spinny- Spinny trick except I am the horse and Taylor Sheridan at the same time, with a bass and it's Black Metal instead of Country.

This was exactly one year ago today 12/15/24...
In hinds-sight, it was my favorite 48 hour Dirty B marathon adventure, encapsulated in the bittersweet knowledge that it would be the last hang I would ever get with you. The most surreal part was about 8 months earlier that year, I had this dream where I was outside at a BBQ place that had a big stage. I'm sitting there and Creed's, "My Own Prison" starts coming from the stage. I look a few tables to my left to see Ol B Hinds start belting out "and I said ooooooooo" to which I started singing the other line under it - "so I held my up high"... I woke up and went on an ironic Creed kick for the whole next Havok tour in South America, which by the following tour in Europe became un-ironically jamming it every night. It would be playing at a much higher than average rate in Ubers, at bars, restaurants, grocery store, etc. A bit later walking through the airport in Nashville, Stapp walks right by. Fast-forward to this hang, and at maybe 10:30 in the morning, while @doctor_dreyer is trying to sleep in the bed right behind us, Brent connects to the bluetooth speaker and starts bllllaaasting Creed's greatest hits... like ALL of it. It was a real strange full- circle moment. I told him this whole story and he quipped with something really prolific as he always did.. Anyhow, eternally grateful for that last ripper with ya. I hope you're having a blast somewhere out there. We all miss the hell out of you Brent.

Why is it "nailed it" if ya got it right, but "screwed it up" if ya blew it. If you screwed it down, does that reverse the meaning because you can have something nailed down, and that also works. If you nail it up, is that still good? Sorry, I'm hammered 🤣 by @nickshinz
