Excited to officially announce our luxury lodge feature in @maximmag 🙌🏼
While hosting Maxim’s @nickstecher, the weather, fish, and bears were in full swing! Wonderfully written, Nick speaks on details we pride ourselves on and elaborates key elements that make every day a new adventure while still feeling a sense of being right at home. Our ability to provide this experience and witness our achievements in global platforms is truly incredible. Reading this article alone lends a preview of what awaits for a stay with us along the Naknek river. For the full article and to gain more information about The Lodge at 58* North’s development and evolution, find the link in our bio or scroll under the “Luxury” tab on Maxim’s website.
We can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

Very stoked to hit the sneak preview of George Lucas’ wildly anticipated billion-dollar Lucas Museum of Narrative Arts in DTLA. From its 100,000-sq ft of art space, 30+ galleries & 13 acres of gardens to its stunning Ma Yansong designed architecture, LA now has its Bilboa Effect museum. Sharing some shots. #lucasmuseum taken in Lucas Museum of Narrative Art by @nickstecher

Located on the top of the Alaska Peninsula, The Lodge at 58* North plays like a Fortress of Solitude for the naturalist / obsessed angler set. It is a sliver of idyllic comfort & frontier luxury - mind-blowing cuisine, veggies + herbs grown on-site; beautiful but minimalist Douglas fir cabins + Scandinavian design — in one of the most virgin areas on the planet.

Just on the edge of 4-million acres of the Katmai National Park, we saw brown bears in the wild, red fox, mink, eagles of several stripes - & managed to catch some sockeye + king salmon along the way. Credit owners Kate + Justin Crump, their elite guides & the equipment like their intrepid Beaver seaplane, which supplies views of untouched landscape you will never forget in your life. Incredible what @TheLodgeat58North is able to accomplish here on the edge of the world. Full feature upcoming in MAXIM.

Dinner at The Macallan Villa to celebrate their new "Drink of a Generation” with James Marsden. The piece highlights The Macallan’s Sherry Oak 25 + 30 Years Old bottles, which we enjoyed the meal — as always superb at the Villa. Total honor to break bread with Cyclops… although The Juror might be my sneaky fav. Slàinte Mhath! taken in Mulholland Drive by @nickstecher

Finally got ahold of our Spring 2026 issue of @MAXIMmag with the beautiful Darya Hope on the cover, who I interview inside. Beyond the stunning photos by Gilles Bensimon, we have 2 Ferrari features: 1. The new definitive Taschen book written by veteran F1 journalist + author Pino Allievi, who uses his years interviewing Enzo, deep F1 access, secret journals + exceptional photography to lift a veil on what still remains a clandestine automotive superforce. 2. A roundup of Maranello’s current super + hypercar lineup. Lastly we have the story of Louis XIII cognac’s latest spirit of the gods, the $50,000 Rare Cask 42.1. Long live print!

Really enjoyed my week with the French built, UK engineered Ineos Grenadier—especially in the brand new Arcane Works ‘Detour’ trim. An unflinching homage to the classic Land Rover Defender, the Grenadier looks exactly like what it is: a proper tool. Boxy, upright, unapologetically square. Short overhangs, flat glass, steel bumpers. It doesn’t play around with coupe rooflines or LED theatrics. Instead the Grenadier prioritizes visibility, interior space, and the ability to mount gear almost anywhere on the shell (thanks to a utility rail running its length).

Underneath it all sits a full ladder-frame chassis developed by Magna Steyr, the same powerhouse behind Merc’s G-Wagen, engineered for boulder-crawling punishment. Fittingly, Component sourcing for the @Ineos_Grenadier reads like an off-roading engineer’s dream: BMW B58 inline-six engine; ZF auto transmission; Bosch steering box designed for semi-trucks; Bilstein shocks, Brembo brakes and Recaro seats; Carraro axles used in heavy equipment like John Deere and Caterpillar; BFGoodrich KO2 rubber.

Had a lot of fun with it—full review upcoming on MAXIM.com.

As the year comes to a close, looking back at the truly epic travel I was able to experience in 2025 & giving a moment of thanks to the cosmos. From trips to NOLA for French Quarter Fest to plumbing across Vietnam with Heritage Cruises, Black Tomato + Zannier Hotels, to exploring deep into the remote Indonesian archipelago of Wakatobi with Rascal Voyages, the discoveries were profound + eye-opening.

Meeting the Bajau — indigenous seafaring nomads known as the Sea People or Sea Gypsies — walking their incredible over-water villages, & watching them free dive down to 30 meters (up to 10 minutes per dive), was one of the coolest things I’ve witnessed with my own eyes. The fact they use “goggles” made of Coke bottles + mango wood only ices the cake.

But perhaps nothing moved me as much as my time exploring Armenia, which offers a level of untouched, untouristed splendor matched only by maybe the most remote places in my 25 years of real traveling. The still intact Caravanserais (900-year-old stone hotels lining the Silk Road), churches carved out of mountains, 🤤 cuisine & among the warmest, most generous people I’ve met. If anyone wants notes, I’ve got a killer itinerary & the best guide in Armenia (🙏 @next_is_armenia). Been able to chill since Thanksgiving, but a new wave starts in January which I’m lucky as hell to do. Onwards & upwards! taken in Venice Beach by @nickstecher

Just got my copy 0of the new @MAXIMmag just before the holiday to see my Xmas gift from Santa - LSU gymnast (& NIL superstar) @LivvyDunne gracing our cover. Inside is even better, w a quartet of features that reflect the spectrum of dumb stuff I like to cover, & a reminder of how lucky I am that I get to do so. Starting off with my travel feature on the Blue Dragon, aka Vietnam, and how this is the year to visit this mostly undiscovered gem.

From the golden beaches & azure waters of the @ZannierHotels Bãi San Hô resort in the remote central coast to the Agatha Christie-esque Raj-style luxury yacht of the
@Heritage_Line winding the Mekong River to the opulent @TheVietage train to the urban splendor, dark back alleys and 🤤 food halls of Saigon, Vietnam pretty much has it all. Extra props to @BlackTomatoTravel for putting together many of our most 🤯 experiences along the way.

Second we have our Q&A with F1 superstar @GeorgeRussell63, who battled valiantly with his Mercedes-AMG team to 9 podiums + 2 GP wins in 2025, surprising with a 4th place finish. Then there’s the deep dive on @Bugatti’s new hypercar building Programme Solitaire, where the French/German automaker crafts true on-off unicorns with its brilliant Engineering + Design teams. The devil is in all the details, & stratospheric performance.

Last but not least is the new book by one of our favorite automotive photographers, @Larry_Chen_Foto. “Life At Shutter Speed” shows off Larry’s 2 decades shooting the worlds most beautiful cars with creativity, insatiable drive + a superb eye. Some 🙌 for publisher & longtime colleague Ryan @zoomy575m ZumMallen for his superb work. May magazines live forever!
