Grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow during my elective rotation with Dr. Shah! It’s been eye-opening to see the impact of holistic care on wellness and recovery. 10/10 would recommend!

NYSSPA, 2024
As I transition from surgery to internal medicine, I am able to reflect on such an awesome experience this past weekend. During this year’s NYSSPA Conference, we celebrated the 25th anniversary of the NYIT PA Program. My friends and I also had the opportunity to represent our school in the annual NYSSPA Challenge Bowl and came super close to taking home the championship title! Despite the difficulties of clinical year, I must always reflect on how lucky I am to be able to have all these amazing opportunities in life. No matter what challenges lie ahead, there will always be beautiful moments such as these!

PRIMARY CARE ✔️
My first job will be in primary care, so this was a great opportunity to get my feet wet. Pretty confident that I’ll be successful in the field, but excited to see what else is in store for clinical year. Orthopedics next!! 💪🏼

End of semester dinner!! 🦑
At the end of each semester, my parents treat me to dinner at my place of choice. This semester I decided on a place in Massapequa — Cinnabar. Food and drinks were great, and we went out to Krisch’s afterwards for some ice cream!

Pediatrics starter pack!! 🤪

Tomorrow is the big day! I’ve been reviewing the powerpoints from my pediatrics course, looking over my physical exam rubrics and brushing up on the latest pediatrics pop culture. I’ve got lollipops, wristbands, toys, stickers and more. I’m extremely curious to see what this rotation will hold. The hours aren’t very long, so I hope that I can get the experience necessary to take care of all the tiny humans. Remember, and let’s all say this together, KIDS ARE NOT LITTLE ADULTS!! 👶🏼
