“We Can’t Be Friends” out now on all streaming platforms

Spring of 2024 I sat down and wrote this with the exceptionally talented @officialdaltonlee. I was in the midst of a break up (the first one since moving to Nashville) and was going through all the feelings that come with it. I was like, “Yeah exes can be friends” but little did I know, that ex would be kissing another guy from across the bar. It was hard to see and sent me into a dark space mentally. It was like a wound had been ripped back open. Writing this song really helped with my healing process and I couldn’t be more grateful Dalton jumped on this song with me. To be clear, this song is inspired by that experience I had but isn’t verbatim of what went down. Thats the beauty of songwriting and storytelling.

I wanna thank @openmicjesse with @savio_productions for making this song what it truly is– A bro country Sam Hunt-esque break up banger. Jesse saw my vision and nailed it on the head and I couldn’t be more happy with how it came out. He also knows some pretty talented musicians in town so shoutout to him for coordinating all of these guys to play on this song. I couldn’t ask for anything better.

Drums - @calebgilbreath
Bass - @timdenbo
EG - @joneconley
AG/Steel - @kelbyray
Keys - @billynobel

Moral of the story, don’t be friends with your ex. I hope you enjoy this little heater and you send it to all of your toxic exes.

Thank you guys for the continuous support!!

Ya’ll this song has taken me on such a journey. One of the hardest songs I have ever tried to write. Shout out to my co-writers @matthewjamessongwriting and @michael____roman for making me dream a reality by writing this song with me. From 17 year old me to me now, I’m so proud of how far this song has come. Shout out to @aaronpatrickmusic for producing this beautiful masterpiece and for @lukethesongwriter playing the guitar part.

Wanna Feel That Love is OUT NOW on all streaming platforms. Give it a listen (or two) in the link in my bio.

Everybody go wish this guy a happy birthday!!!!! Andrew, from the short time we’ve gotten to know each other, we’ve gotten so close (it’s the trauma bond I’m sure…the wheel coming off that uber, the car battery dying, stupid boys, etc…) but I swear I don’t think I’ve ever met someone so similar to me. Our love for country music, MEGAN MORONEY, growing up near the lake, BOYS, having a good time, dancing, and jamming to old Taylor in the car. You’ve quickly become one of my closest friends in Nashville and I’m so thankful. I can’t imagine life without you. I love you bestie. Now, you may be 29 but daaaaang you fiiiineee boy! Let’s party! 🥳 taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @nickvanburen
