I walked past this ibis in Sydenham today. 🐦

The Australian white ibis is naturally a wetland bird, but it has adapted remarkably well to urban life, where you’ll often find them investigating parks, food scraps and rubbish bins.

Sydneysiders have affectionately given them the nickname “bin chickens.” by @nickyards

We heard the dogs barking in the backyard and went out to investigate, only to discover this tiny baby possum curled up in a ball. 🥹🐾

It didn’t appear injured, but we couldn’t find its mum anywhere, so we called WIRES for help.

It had the softest fur I’ve ever felt and was so tiny and vulnerable. It was incredibly special being able to keep this beautiful little native animal warm and safe until help arrived. ❤️💜

WIRES told us he was a little brushtail possum. Brushtail joeys spend around five months in their mum’s pouch before becoming little “back-riders” for another month or two as they grow more independent.

Hoping this little fellow makes a speedy recovery and goes on to live a long, happy possum life. 🌿🐾 by @nickyards

Auditions, beach walks, and celebrating my daughter Serena performing on stage.

The creative journey is full of risks, courage, anxiety, excitement and rejection. Some auditions I walked away from thinking, “I nailed that!” only to hear nothing back. Then the ones where I don’t give a rip about, became the bookings.
That’s the unpredictable nature of this industry. You have to keep showing up and try not to overthink things.
