A few things I’ve learnt after 16 years on the boutique floor:

Women apologise to me constantly.
“Sorry, I’m just browsing.”
“Sorry, I came straight from Pilates.”
“I’m not a Calexico size.”

None of that matters.

Most women who walk through our doors are juggling work, little people, relationships, ageing parents, confidence - usually all at once. Shopping should feel enjoyable, an escape - not intimidating or judgey.

What matters is the piece.
How it fits.
How you feel in it.

Whether it earns a place in your wardrobe for years, not just one season.

That’s always been the brief.

Hannah can you guess this ? 🙈

After nearly 15 years, Hannah is such an integral part of what Calexico is today and she definitely knows all there is to know about the pieces we love in the boutique!

But can she do it blind ? So we put her to the test Nicky wanted to know if she could tell what the piece is on feel alone. And of course she nailed it 🩷 by @nickycalexico

What a day. ✨

We invited the women who have been collecting Anine Bing with us over the years to spend a day with the designer herself, for her only Queensland appearance.

It started with a Beverly Hills style brunch at SK Steak & Oyster with over 100 of our clients: champagne, green juices and DJ Adela on the decks.

I sat down with Anine for a real conversation about motherhood, breakups, fashion, being a founder and the hard stuff. Then we headed back to the boutique for an afternoon of champagne, dancing and shopping.

Anine was down to earth, generous and simply lovely. She took a selfie with every single guest, and as you’ll see, she can’t take a bad photo.

Thank you Anine for your big heart and thank you to everyone who came. You said you’ll be back soon, and we’re holding you to it. 🤍

Calexico Man on Tour

A short stint in Chicago with Kalem to attend one of the biggest men’s trade fairs the fashion world has to offer. Then an unexpected 36 hour whirlwind in New York ✈️

A LOT of showrooms. Thousands of fabrics. New designers, old favourites, new friends, great food, great art and obviously a little dancing.

We even spotted Anna Wintour within my first few hours in New York - couldn’t have scripted that one. 🤣🤣

We tried, touched, talked, researched, discovered, laughed and looked at EVERYTHING… and chose only the very best for our Calexico ladies & gents.

We love that our job takes us around the world - and we definitely make the most of it.
