🪩 THE PROMENÁDE IS FOR EVERYONE (1/2) 🪩

So much to say about it all. Still recovering from all of the scream-singing and heel-jumping. A beautiful night rich with electric magic. Where to begin…

My deepest thanks to everyone involved:

To my daring drag queens Paris Lurux, Just Joe, and Sativa
To my sultry stripteases Cleo Qupid and Char-La-Mann
To my classical musicians Mayavati and Jah
To my audio tech heroes PerryA @perry_alisdair and Lovette
To my EDM comrade D.Baneni @dan.the.music.man
To my immaculate Stage Kitten Lady Lanna @alannaburlee
To my friends Charlie @hotbox607, Noah @noah.unser, and Izzy @izzyvigs for running the front of house
To everyone who turned up and turned out to witness this burst of artistic synthesis
And to @deepstate.607 for being gracious hosts for this wacky idea

THE PROMENÁDE was designed to honor and recognize all of the artistic communities I hold dear, to be a space where these distinct practices could coexist and combine into something new and vibrant. I would not be the artist or human I am now without the love and warmth from these individuals and communities. I hope that those in attendance felt that energy, and that the performance showed that no matter where your art lies, it must thrive.

🎶💃🏻🎥 I RIDE 4 U CHARLI 😍
#musicfashionfilmtour recap ➡️

This week I got to witness an artist who has shaped my life and music profoundly, Charli XCX 💗💗💗

Joined by my bestie and most trusted concert co-conspirator Abby @abbyjeannep 👯

(Their crocs light up ✨)

However we are silly upstate civilians who cannot comprehend public transit 🚗
Thankfully our good pal Harrison @_harri_hayes was our Certified Subway Whisperer 💗

Serving at the Shake Shack 🍔
Love u brother 💪🏼

The opener, underscores, had an amazing set 🎧
Her latest album “u” is absolutely electric ⚡️

Charli was magnificent because of course she was
Here’s “Camera” which made me cry when I first heard it on the album 😭

And my favorite visuals of the night “House”
Featuring these incredible pyrotechnics 🧨

It was life changing
Can’t you tell by how full of life I am afterward

Thank u Charli
Thank u Barclays
Thank u Brooklyn
I’ll be on that stage one day 🤩

📸 CAMERA “BY” NICKY KULÁY 🤩

While I was finishing up the deluxe album this summer, I heard this song off of Charli’s new album. Its music and message moved me deeply. The lyrics fit right in with the themes of the mini-narrative of the deluxe, so I decided to add it to the tracklist. I don’t play the guitar, so I opted to recording my voice as the track’s foundation. As you’ll hear, my intepretation of the piece is more desperate and urgent, compared to Charli’s more despondent and pensive tone. Ty for listening 😘

💃🏻I’M DANCING ALL NIGHT LONG AT…THE PROMENÁDE🕺🏻

🎶 THE PROMENÁDE (feat. D.Baneni) - OUT NOW 🪩

This song was written for and about my first live show of the same name. For one night in March, I created a space where all my friends could dance and feel free. (Hopefully not the last time!) Now, the energy of that night can be shared with you all. I hope this song makes you DANCE as hard as I was that night!!! 🥵

So grateful to have my dear friend Daniel @dan.the.music.man produce the track with me! His production style is deeply electric, and I love the way our sonic worlds come together. You may hear more collaborations between us in the future…

🙏🏼 THANK U FOR LISTENING. COURTER DELUXE ALBUM COMING IN AUGUST!!! 👀

Five brave souls bare it all.

Thank you Galyne Karess Nicky Harlee Kaylin + Tess for letting me, two ride-or-die cinematographers (Karen! Fabio!), and 10 Cornell students to film every last layer come off.

Trailer is here, film on YouTube (link in bio).
