Everywhere Together is live on Kickstarter 💖🗺️
•
It's an art project featuring the Grieger Triptychial world map projection. I've been working on this for an incredibly long time. It's exciting and terrifying to actually release it.
•
If you're able to share it around (or support it if you're so inclined!) I'd be extremely grateful 🥹 I'd love to be able to make more of these maps. I put a link in my bio~

Thank yooouuuuuuu by @nickyonge

I'm still so enamoured with the Grieger Triptychial projection. One neat thing about it is that the graticule tiles - but only if you horizontally mirror it on each tiling row. The result is this hypnotic pattern. It resembles amoeba, or bike chains, or a scifi peanut. I'm having fun playing with lines and colours. I wanna turn it into wallpaper or something it's GORGEOUS by @nickyonge

My wonderful roommate @lizardbrain.art has a very fancy printer (it has 10 ink cartridges! 10!). I’ve wanted to figure out how to make high-quality art prints for awhile, so it was the perfect excuse to draw some ducks by @nickyonge

Exported the final version of the video for my upcoming map project, Everywhere Together. It's been a long time coming and lots of effort. I'm excited and terrified to share it! by @nickyonge

Making prints of my rendition of the Grieger Triptychial world map 🗺️ 🖊️ playing with different paper, colours, and lines.

I guess “print” isn’t the right word, there’s no printing involved. I’ve mapped the lines to my pen plotter and draw these in Micron. Archival quality ink! It comes out SO crisp.
•
A few folks have asked and yeah if you want one DM me! I’m doing a project soon but I’d be delighted to make one for you now. The ones pictured are 12x24”, but they can be p much any size in a 2:1 aspect ratio.

I’ve been making maps! My current main project is painting the Grieger Triptychial world map projection. Playing with different colours, materials, patterns. I’ve been working on these for a few months now and the whole project is almost done. Maybe I’ll remember to post more 😌

Silhouette cutouts, Our Flag Means Death
•
I’ve been working on an LED shadowbox for a long time now and it’s very near completion. Multiple backlit layers of cardstock are so gorgeous, even on their own. Making the cutouts is so fun.
