$Happy 30th birthday, Bea! I can’t believe you’ve gotten this old already… but at the same time, it’s kind of crazy to think you’ve always been a whole decade ahead of me, leading the way before I even knew where I was going. I’m so grateful to have you as a role model and someone to look up to. You’ve shown me what it means to care for others, not just through words, but through everything you’ve done for me. From waking up early before your college classes just to take me to swim practice, to supporting me through all my different phases, you’ve always been there. You even got me my first consoles, from the 3DS to the PS5, which meant more to me than I probably ever said. And somehow, you were also my rival, whether it was going back and forth with me in NBA 2K or pushing me in ways that made me better without me even realizing it. You’re also the reason I picked up guitar, which is something that’s stuck with me ever since. I’m really lucky to have you as my sister. You gave me a childhood where I never felt like I was missing out on anything. And looking back now, I realize you were always behind the camera too, capturing all those moments I get to look back on today. You didn’t just give me those memories, you made sure they lasted. You always made sure I was happy, whether that meant getting me the newest games or just asking what I wanted and surprising me with it. As you step into this new chapter, I hope life gives you back even a fraction of everything you’ve given to me. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without you. Love, Nico by @nico.trojillo$
