unfortunately, Spencer passed away on July 24th.

i just felt like i should do something to memorialize him like i did for Lexi, and writing about him might be therapeutic.

i really miss him. i’ve had Spencer since i was 8 & i’m 19 now. i feel like a part of me is missing, which i always thought was just dramatic exaggeration from Hollywood but idk. it feels real now.

Spencer, i miss you so much baby. i miss your comfort, and your sweet little face. i miss your pretty brown eyes, and i miss the feeling that, even though you’re so small, you really could understand me and my mood. you were so perceptive. i miss your little nose, being able to know you were okay by the fact it was moving. but maybe your breathing was only that. i don’t know what’s worse to believe. it all hurts the same.

i hope you’re at peace now. you were in so much pain in your last days. as much as it sucked to let you go, it would have been cruel to keep you alive.

i hope you’re with Lexi, cuddling while she cleans your eyes.
i love you my sweet boy. rest easy, and i’ll meet you one day.

anyway just wanted to mark this to future Nico as sort of a checkpoint of the people I’ve loved.
The literary arts class from Patapsco has genuinely become my family, and it absolutely breaks me that we’re having to part for college, but i’m grateful i got to meet them.
these people are sincerely some of the best, most skilled, most passionate writers i’ve ever met, and i’m grateful that they stood by me when i was struggling. people like that are important to keep around.
i hope we’re still all in touch in the future. or that the new friends i’ll meet are half as good as these guys, at least🥴

these are actually so fun to record throughout every year, and atp it’s definitely a routine for me.
ive been doing these for three years now (since 2020) and i hope i do them forever tbh, even if just for myself. they’re so fun to look back on and i hope the three of my friends that look at these enjoy them LMAO
