Hello friends and enemies

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’ve gotten some questions on how I made my earlier posts with this figure. Some ppl thought it was a drawing or AI…. It’s neither. It’s real.

I used a MG Phenex Gundam Narrative Ver (the missing skirt, horn, and jetpack parts are purposeful), mounted on a MG Gunpla stand next to a HG Gunpla box with two mini figures. RG Sazabi Char and MG Zaku 2 pilot.
Red, Green, Yellow, Blue.

I used my phone at low and high angles to capture not only the scale, but also a visual story of these characters discovering earth.

Speaking of which: the earth was an image I found online, and I used procreate to do an amateur cut out of the Phenex and the box and put it over the image.
I got the blue glow from a SmallRig LED Light kit, the blue color is actually a gel sheet that came with the kit.

The lighting kit is super cool and helpful for testing out lighting, but I heard of a trick where I could’ve used a monitor to cast the image of earth for lighting and background, and skip the photoshopping aspect. Lol

Hope this answers some questions and inspires others to play with their toys! I can’t wait to finish this project and share what this is leading to. by @nicolas.metheny

During february 2025, I had spent the best 30 consecutive days of my life being on the set of @diggerthemovie where I got to learn every aspect of how a film is made, and fortunately the challenges that are faced when creating such a beast as this.

This was not the first time I had been on a set as Alejandro. The first time we met was actually on Birdman, particularly the scene where Micheal Keaton and Edward Norton went into a bar together. I begged him to let me in the movie as an extra in the background. Technically I got my wish, but not as an extra.

I was so blessed not only to have had Alejandro and @tomcruise as direct teachers, but also the cast, crew, and producers that were involved. Opening my eyes to truly appreciate the hundreds of names listed the end of the credits, and the amount of time, energy, and planning it takes to make a movie. It is unlikely that my name will be next to theirs, but I will keep an eye out for those I’ve immortalized in my notebook.
@lolamarsd3n @mengr.zu I’ll never forget you guys.

There are no words to describe such an experience. Thank you Alejandro so much. I’m truly humbled to have learned from so many of films greatest pantheons.

See you at the movies!
