When Nicolas Berge won the Bernd-Alois-Zimmermann-Scholarship in 2023, the jury described him as having "mastered the art of “artful interruption” in a special way. (...) a new syntax emerges that does not harmonize, but rather reveals contrasts in a productive way." Get an impression of this madness at #FILTER during the Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik on Friday the 2nd of May at @saalbau_witten #hyperpop #contemporary #contrast #ensemblemusikfabrik by @nicolasberge_

I can’t express how excited I am about this – the city of cologne awarded me the Bernd Alois Zimmermann scholarship. ✨ Happy and incredibly grateful, I want to say thank you to so many people, without whom this would not have been possible. 💗 This feels like the peak of a lot of surreal things that have happened in the past two years. And perfect timing with me finishing my studies @hfmt_koeln , btw. 🥂 To name just a few, thank you thank you 💕💕💕 to my friends and family to all the great performers and colleagues i’ve met on the way to my teachers and the institutions that supported me @kollektiv3_6koeln @luciakilger @cologneguitarquartet @mlchael.beil @ifnm_koeln @brischiiid @on_cologne @stadt.koeln @manos.tsangaris @muenchenerbiennale @achtbruecken @festivalexit by @nicolasberge_
