The Norwegian coast in summer is anything but barren.

Reindeer rest on the beach, catching the cool sea breeze. Puffins drift gently over the waves. Huge silver schools of fish move through underwater kelp forests. Flowers grow between the rocks, and boathouses glow in the long summer light.

A landscape that might look sparse from a distance reveals itself differently up close: full of traces, movement, shelter, feathers, antlers — and life in places you might not expect it.
