POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Publishing, like life, is a never-ending lesson in patience, confidence, and knowing that sometimes just because a moment isn't right doesn't mean you're wrong.

I wrote this proposal (multiple times--a rarity for me) over five years ago. I threw so much of what I love into it (ghosts! Iowa! Genealogy and archives! Spiky family dynamics! A guy who can fix a leaky roof! Did I mention ghosts?) Like many proposals I've written over the past 15+ years, it didn't find a home at first. Unlike most of those, it stuck with me all these years. I knew it was the kind of story my readers would like to read, and I knew it was a story I wanted to tell.

I'm so excited it finally found a home! by @nicole_t_helm

After spending nearly six years in St. Cyprian and the land of Witchlore, Hazel has cozied up some Midwestern riverways and ended up in Midas, Iowa, on the banks of the Mississippi, where an old demon curse threatens the souls of the residents once a generation. When New York City bred twins Lexi and Logan Darling inherit a knitting shop in Midas…they have no idea what they’re walking into.

Think Widow’s Bay but midwestern, Gilmore Girls with demons, and all the Hazel charm of the Witchlore series with a little…edge. A cozy Midwestern town, found family, slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance, and for our eagle-eyed readers, some nods to our favorite witches.

Best of all, it’s the start of a duology! Meaning when you finish SOME KIND OF HAUNTED, you should go preorder MISS ME IN YOUR BONES, coming in 2027.

And make sure to mark your calendars for our book tour at the end of October. Find all dates on our website. by @nicole_t_helm
