And this years pride season has come to a close. I’ve been out as bisexual since I was 16. Since then, I’ve felt so much love from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. In a world where our rights are at risk, especially those in the trans community, I’m grateful to have a day of celebration with my community. But it’s important to remember pride started as a protest. As pride becomes more and more commercial, we need to remember to fight for and support those in our community who are most at risk, which right now is trans people. Both Sides Now by Joni Mitchell. I’m 9 months clean today, and I’ve learned so much from being clean and living a spiritual life. I think that’s why I connect with these lyrics so much more now. There’s so much more to life than I ever thought possible, so much more to explore in this world.
