Dear Digital Diary 💌

This past month I had the opportunity to study abroad and I will forever be grateful for it. Aside from the stunning architecture, rich history and surface level adventures I’ve encountered, the best part was definitely the connections I’ve made. So here’s to the late-night talks in room 614, the genuine laughter, the ice cream runs at the market and the times we were defeated by the Port Wine

My beautiful grandmother.
There’s so much I could say about your character, your strength, and your beautiful aura, yet no words will ever feel like enough. They say no one is perfect, but you lived with grace, love, empathy, courage, and an unwavering positivity that lit up every room. You danced through life, laughed out loud, and carried a joy that was impossible to miss.

This goodbye has been the hardest of my life. I didn’t just lose my grandmother, I lost the woman who helped raise me, protected me, and shaped me. You fought with everything you had, and even in your hardest moments, you showed me how to face life, and death with courage.

I find comfort in knowing you are no longer in pain, even as I learn how to carry this grief. Everything I am is touched by your love and the sacrifices you made so I could live the life I have today.
